I’m not sure where in the network 000 is failing, but it’s worth pointing out Vodafone roams onto Optus now and some phones even have emergency satellite calls for 000 and roadside assistance.

Indeed, random sign on building, indeed.

There were dozens of people taking photos 😂

Bloody cyclists. We are SO back
- 2.5% is high, but likely because they might not have flat rate fees. Here in Aus, international cards cost more to process than domestic, unless you have a flat rate (most do).
- Glad that the prices were more or less the same or slightly cheaper whilst over there.
Ah yes! I did notice this on my visit.
- Terminals are programmed to require you to accept the surcharge (yes/no) before processing the payment, all after presenting the card.

FINALLY
The latter often pose a greater risk as the batteries and charging equipment are not up to scratch.
They were never legal if over 200W, eg. The full size ones that are often modded to go full throttle. Only the smaller bikes are allowed to have throttles, typically folding (including escooters) or those small fixed cheap ones used for food deliveries.
Graphic comparing Sunday morning trains at Epping, Melbourne (18km from the City) 14 trains, to Epping, Sydney (also 18km from the city) 31 trains. Sydney Metro trains are excluded; these run every 10 minutes on Sundays. Central Coast & Newcastle express trains are also excluded. These mostly run every 30 minutes. Melbourne is on the verge of growing bigger than Sydney, but our train timetables are stuck in the 1990s. Even excluding Metro and express services from Central Coast/Newcastle, Sydney's Epping has far more train services than Melb's Epping, at most times of the week, and especially on Sundays.
According to a friend, their 59 service this morning took this route.

Bloody cyclists.
Every heritage 'village' people want to protect is unbelievably depressing-looking.
After the metro dig below, the closed platforms at Central Station are slowly re-opening
Just arrived into platform 12 and the platform has so much space. Am I right in thinking p15 is dead and buried now for good?
We’ve spoken several times about the A380’s “cargo weakness”, arguing it isn’t well-suited to Qantas’s cargo-heavy Asian routes.
While this isn’t the only reason they're not often scheduled on Asian routes, we thought we’d put together a thread explain it in detail 🧵
New video!
This time explaining the new transit orientated reforms in NSW!

I've been doing quite a few cross City FKN-NPT trips recently and it really irks me how unreliable the cross city component is. Third time in a week my "Frankston" train from footscray has terminated @ Flinders Street (with zero driver announcement I might add.) Real sloppy from MTM.

Officially visited all 222 metro train stations - finishing off at Flemington Racecourse on this glorious Melbourne day!
Every person on a bike is someone not in a car and not taking up seats on a train and reducing the country's environmental and healthcare costs heading into the CBD. Efficiently moving and not part of congestion, which may result in some people being blind to them.
The original Sydney metro
We attempted to speedrun the NYC Ferry. It went horribly, horribly wrong.

Infrastructure Victoria's new strategy document makes a lot of sense to help get our state moving: relatively small but worthwhile tram extensions, rail electrification, bus rapid transit, and more services across all modes including V/Line and in regional towns.

"The Department of Transport says it is investigating ways to improve bus links between the rail network and destinations such as the Avalon Airport."
-- This isn't complicated. We're not inventing teleports. It needs our politicians to see the benefits and agree to fund it. www.abc.net.au/news/...
Surely this new video won't make me seem like a crank.
