I’m disappointed but not surprised by the takes from @pivotpod.bsky.social on the united health shooting. There was a lot of elitism and just a lack of understanding. It’s the classic privileged liberal being more upset by the volume of the cries against injustice than injustice itself.

Got back into Warhammer 40K to cut screen time and try a less physical hobby. It’s been fun, but painting miniatures is hard.
I had to remind myself: hobbies are for fun. It’s okay to suck. Improvement comes from failing. Proud of my bad paint job and can’t wait to see progress a year from now!

My student has been running into this issue and I managed to get approval for ATJA nationals and a local USA judo tournament in NC but it’s been an uphill battle.
Switching to hosting inter club shia was huge for creating a space, and letting tournaments know we have other options!
Rules change coolness and lore is forever!!
