Coming up this month, we're back at The Exchange 1856 for not one but two shows next weekend.

Set in the heart of North Shields’ Cultural Quarter, this venue is a firm Lindisfarne favourite. Catch us there Saturday 14 February (Valentine’s Day date, anyone?): www.theexchange1856.com/event-detail...

We also – our travel plans having been soundly defeated in January by Storm Γ‰owyn – finally made it back across the Irish Sea for two special gigs in DΓΊn Laoghaire and Belfast, as well as enjoying another summer full of festivals (and some uncharacteristically excellent weather).

How lucky are we, to have such talented people take our photo?

It’s been another brilliant year for Lindisfarne. We’ve performed everywhere from Bridport to Bangor; we’ve sold out well over half of our shows and played some wonderful new venues, too πŸ‘‡πŸ»

Farewell to Chris Rea, a class act, photographed in Redcar in 1974 promoting his debut single (and his father's ice cream cafe).

Four years later he joined Lindisfarne on tour as our support, opening shows before he was propelled to stardom. There's a little less magic in the air without him here.

Our first post here and it feels fitting that it's in honour of two of the all-time greats: our Geordie Genius Alan Hull, who we lost on 17 November 1995, and the inimitable Rod Clements, who celebrates his birthday today.

Cheers to you 🀍
