I can’t speak to Eldrazi, but madness/discard can definitely work in peasant. The trick is to use more than just cards with madness. Marauding Mako and Ivora are good payoffs for just discarding in general. Cards that want to be in the graveyard work as well, Squee, Anger, reanimator targets, etc
We had 10 last night for our weekly cube night at The Warp Gate in Columbus. We drafted one of my cubes, Simpler Times, and had to use all 450 cards to accommodate everyone 🙂 #mtgcube
We did our first stone soup draft last night! It lived up to the hype for sure. We are going to run these every few months or so. People left excited about which cards to bring for next time. #mtgcube
Nah, no qualifications. It is mostly the same core group of friends that get invited back every year. This year I also invited some folks from our LGS that have been coming out to our weekly cube nights.
I didn’t win this time, but it’s always fun anyway. 32 players is intense! I’d love to get to that point. I’ve been aware of your event for some time, and that’s so cool that it has grown so much. Best of luck with this year’s event!

We got 8 for the Columbus cube night. Drafting a pauper cube. This might be the sickest pack setup I’ve ever seen!
The final stage 3 voting poll for CubeCon went up today. I’d really love to bring the GOAT Peasant Cube this year. Out of the cubes I curate, it’s the project that has for sure taken up the most brain space. I feel that it really offers a unique experience in the Peasant cube realm. Go check it out!
Lost in the top 4 at Vertex Steel City. We drafted Limited All-Stars, which is a peasant cube. My bread and butter, but ran into a really good RW deck. Super fun event!
Trophied the Future Sight Cube and squeaked into top 8 as the 8-seed. The dream is still alive!
2-1 with nearly mono red in the Penrose Cube. Deck felt like a train wreck, so I’m happy with the result. Going to be hard to top 8 from here, but I’m going to keep grinding.

Drafted the Combo Cube tonight! One of the most degenerate formats out there. The land station only has “Utopias”, which are basic lands that count as all land types. So colors don’t really matter. 2-1, lost in the finals with Flash Hulk Nadu 😆

It’s a good card of course. It wouldn’t pull me into green P1P1 though. If I were already in green, I would take it fairly highly just because I typically want all the 1 drop elves I can get.
