I spent all day starting at my computer, then spent the evening with 6yr olds.

I don't expect any comments on this. It's me just trying to express the stuff in my brain. You know where to find me if you need to reach out.

Last week, I got to see my friends and it was good to be in their presence again and this week...I'm all alone again. Tomorrow will be hard, back to work, back to school...house of quiet and constant reminders that I've never been more alone in my life.

I dislike it greatly.

I feel guilty dumping this on people during a time when everyone is supposed to be happy and the one person I usually talk to about this kind of stuff also finds this time of year hard.

So the never-ending crushing loneliness I feel on a general basis, is well....increased.

Part of my family is missing and I understand that they don't want me as part of the life anymore. I get this. But the pain never goes away and every time I look at their step brother, my youngest...I think of how much better it would be with them here.

All the traditions they miss.

This time of year is never good for me and over the years I've tried my hardest to make it more happy but this year the pain is sharply felt.

I'm told time and again to not blame myself for the past but every time the holiday season comes around - I realise it is supposed to be spent with family.
