Ok Iโm taking away your hand holding privileges actually
"Battlepass" this, "Seasons" that, we actually sat our game developer ass down and LISTENED
You better calm down before I add batting eyelashes to the game
Blocks for Babies is the first boomer shooter to innovate in the hand-holding space. There's a lot more to talk about too, but that's your tease ;)

Played an earlier build of this and even then it was so fun and satisfying, it's like Rounds and Boomerang Fu had a turtle-powered baby.
Play this with your friends, or, more importantly, your enemies.

2.5 years after quitting my job, super happy to announce my first game ๐ขGigaTurtles ๐ขis having its world premiere at @dayofthedevs.org !!!
If you're in the Bay this Sunday and like chaotic, casually-competitive PvP party games, check it out!

Just played this demo and it's really good. Incredibly nฬดอฬฬฎoฬถออrฬถฬฬฬบฬฆmฬถฬฬ ออฬฅaฬตฬฬฬอlฬทอฬอ sense of atmosphere, makes me excited to get my hands on the full thing. Easy Next Fest recommendation.
Screw it: if you or someone you know is making a game and you have a demo out for next fest, sound off below. Iโm just playing through everything and writing down my thoughts.
Signal boost a little for the indies in the back!
C (or B) appeal to me the most by far
The team for Mewgenics is the largest dev team I've ever worked with, but its still small enough that we were able to feature everyone on our stream today. I love that about indie game dev, everyone who worked on this has a visible bit of themselves in this game. Thank you all.
A rising baby lifts all blocks
Huge things are happening in the baby game space
This is super fun!
Thanks @gamerant.bsky.social for the write-up!
Although it may seem unlikely, a new Steam game combines the core mechanics of Tetris and DOOM, resulting in a unique hybrid experience.
this is how I feel working on QoL UI features
hey so was no one going to tell me that the bad to the bone riff plays randomly in the middle of this
Iโm really happy with it! Not a huge fan of having to between menus to see what a setting actually does
making a little copy of your UI so players can tell what setting they're adjusting #gamedev #indiedev
Itโs so nice to feel seen, thank you @lanceicarus.bsky.social
Amazingโฆ this kind of meta analysis before their skull even hardens, we may be looking at a generational player
Amazing!
Stoked! Will there be a chance for devs to apply like with other Days of the Devs? ๐ฏ
Working on some pre-rendered sprites, aseprite is just so damn aesthetic sometimes #gamedev
Yea crucial to get that game prices feel a certain way & find where your game fits. The goal for our final product is that it should feel like (at least) an $X game
Dev time factors in very little beyond stuff like โit is very unlikely you will make something that feels like a $20 game in 6 monthsโ
It's the first Wishlist Wednesday of 2026! Let's fill those lists up with indies we'd love to play this year.
From time-bending to block shooting, Medieval undead to peaceful building, there's an indie for everyone.
Thank you, super excited for you to experience the full game!
Art of Flapper asleep in an empty gift box
Warm holiday wishes from Blocks for Babies! Flapper opened his big present already, but it looks like his favorite part was the box :โ)
