There are legit details of vehicle safety and of permissible use to consider, sure. But, speaking just for myself, e-motos are ~good. On balance I'm glad we have them and, on balance, would rather 16yos ride those than drive cars. +

For most public library staff, I recommend trying your state library association. My experience with CLA (Calif) has been good. Easy to participate in, stay engaged, and make a small contribution to the direction of libraries. There’s probably state programs you’re a part of too. 📚
most of all — again, I’m freewheeling— because the crisis in reading as I understand is much less about the mechanics (kids read Discord just fine) and more about sustained book reading and comprehension.
I haven’t and I say this with low confidence and even less background — I suspect the reading debate is more real than the housing one and not as settled as the current pendulum swing makes out.
