I don't know if it works like Twitter where you have to acquire a curated algorithm but right now it seems like the predominant genre of post I'm being served is people feeling superior that they're not posting on Twitter

genius is a sort of vague term but one of its many definitions certainly fits him.

I call it the histamine tax and it's a price we have to pay for an irreplaceable service

the problem is that i opened twitter and saw like 3 posts that immediately made me laugh harder than anything i'd seen on here all week and then i opened the comments and it was 5 bots and two extremely stupid people who might have been bots

I'm not saying we have to lie, but we have to be loud. If we are equally loud, we cannot lose. But we are deathly quiet. Determined to stay civil. An utterly losing strategy in a world filled with proverbial megaphones.

The right understands the assignment. You don't have to tell the truth. You don't have to base your position in fact. All you have to do is lie, loud enough that nobody can hear anyone calling you out, and lie in a way that plays off of people's preconceptions. AND THEY WILL BELIEVE YOU.

we need to address the problem that keeps America voting against its own interests, which is that American voters' brains are cooked! they care about what they are told to care about, which is understandably human! Information is king and the right has a monopoly because we allowed it to happen!

fuck impartiality, CNN needs to call trump a wannabe dictator. they need to stop making his excuses for him. There was no counternarrative of trump as a deeply hateful and incompetent man, only pitiful handwaving and gratuitous coverage of his worst moments.

we can't do this anymore. we have to steal their playbook. The news outlets we have, in the name of impartiality, have allowed open falsehoods and propaganda to live under a thin veneer of legitimacy, and it has to stop. there is no "they go low, we go high", there is only "we must scream louder."

for decades and decades the propaganda machine has run unchecked. whether it be fox news, joe rogan, rush limbaugh, bad high school textbooks, whatever. we have an uneducated and misinformed populace, and we rely on people doing their own research and applying logic to counter this narrative.

a lot of people give voters more credit than they deserve. people only know what they are told. this is a fundamental truth of politics, less than a tenth of a tenth of a percent of all people have enough personal experience to understand the ins and outs of government without being told by someone.
