New blog post! This is about how Sting's new board game RPG Viractal is a lot like Roguelike Deckbuilding games and why I think more people should give it a try.

Every bsky staff member keeps talking about how the goal is Nice Social Media but then the second they're even remotely pushed back against for something shitty, and they immediately crash out for multiple days crying about their subhuman userbase.

I guess the upside of that approach is it doesn't really matter if Xbox Gaming PCs catch on because you'll still be able to market to all PC Gamers when you release a new game- oh, right.

Yeah, Xbox is screwed, lmao.

I actually did not intend to coincide this with the early access release of Slay the Spire 2, but it's kinda funny that that happened.

after years of not having bothered to set up ethernet in my room because I figured it'd be a lot of effort to run it along the wall behind all the furnature I finally got fed up enough with wifi to buy a cable and set it up.

It only took 20 minutes, most of which was untangling 75 feet of cable.

Shot of my CRT playing Panzer Dragoon Saga. A orange-tan dragon is flying through a very atmospheric and very blue stormy area, with clouds off in the distance. There are ominous metal spike objects and trees(?) around too.

I started up Panzer Dragoon Saga recently. This game looks incredible, especially on a CRT

psp battery and cover

all consumer electronics should be like the PSP and have a battery that can be removed and replaced within five seconds with no tools necessary beyond one’s God-given hands

On day one, I'm introducing a bill to put all campaign finance on the blockchain. Every single donation, from every single source, recorded on a public, immutable ledger that anyone can see in real-time. No more shell companies. No more dark money. No more hiding behind nonprofits. If you're donating to a candidate, their spouse, their family, or any entity they control, it goes on the blockchain. Period.

The era of dark money ends. The blockchain provides a permanent record…an immutable ledger as the erudite amongst us will say…that can't be altered, can't be hidden, and can't be manipulated. Any citizen can follow the money from source to destination. That's transparency. That's accountability. That's what Jefferson meant when he talked about government by the people.

But we're not stopping at campaign finance. Every federal contract over $10,000? On the blockchain. Every grant, every expenditure, every dollar the government spends? Public record. We're creating a National Transparency Blockchain...the most transparent government in human history. You'll be able to see exactly where your tax dollars are going, who's getting them, and whether they're being used the way they're supposed to be.

still kinda losing my mind over this, imagine reading a candidate's website where they say they support things like Medicare For All and abolishing ICE and then you read a little further and come across this nugget of nonsense:

I wasn't planning on having Quest 64 be the first game I post a review of on my blog, but it was a game I found interesting enough to start writing a review of while I was playing it, so here it is:
