they ainβt even ready to talk about $200 loopwheeled hoodies yet
I've been feeling the pull to write lately. So, in this time of technological upheaval, I have chosen to write about...going to the Medieval Times show in suburban Florida:

This is an east Portland neighborhood superpower: you can live in a good sized house with a big backyard on a tree lined street, but get an Uber in 5 and be at the airport in 15-20. Youβre also almost always within 10-15 min walk of bars/restaurants.
If you have not read it yet, I *strongly* recommend reading Ted Chiangβs short story βThe Truth of Fact, The Truth of Feelingβ on orality, technology, memory. It is brilliant and ties into everything you wrote.
Right next to the random pile or bag of rock and gravel. Very important and unique rocks, they CANNOT be discarded or returned to nature.
They were so great! As someone who only started watching F1 in the DtS era, itβs so interesting to get context for career eras that happened before I started watching.
Inside of you there are two wolves. Inside each wolf there are zero, one, or two wolves. Write a function to rebalance an arbitrary wolftree B such that it has minimal depth. The function should execute in O(logn) time. Show your work.

Iβm with you, and feel like an outlier with this opinion: itβs going to make the seasons more interesting to go to different tracks every year. Weβre gonna get to Spa in 2029 and be so happy to see it again, more so than having it on the calendar every year.
Some buddhists believe you will be reincarnated forever until you finally understand them.
This is like a monad: see, each individual life is like a container of an immortal soul that gets conditionally passed along, with some transformation during its lifetimeβ¦
ok but what about listening to podcasts on a topic
Itβs honestly amazing to me how many niche hobby/collector groups exist, for almost *anything*, no matter how esoteric. $1,451!

Have you considered driving to Point Roberts for each episode release?

The first edition kicked off my software career almost 15 years ago, and I still think itβs a fantastic jumping off point.
Ahhhhhhh
o1-preview goes a different direction
haha this is so weird
Damian Lewis has been a part of our media lives for 25+ years now and I am *still* surprised to hear his British accent, simply because his American one is so, so good.

Beautiful machine!
Itβs funny how my brain is getting so used to aero across all of the superbike classes that now itβs odd to see bikes without it.
No-aero is still my aesthetic preference, but that ship sailed a long while back.
Currently we have lotteries that cap the price for some, and third party resellers that set a market. The (difficult) question to answer is βwhat mechanism rewards time and persistence, but doesnβt require the risk of traveling for a physical line and missing outβ

I realized listening to the pod today that there are 3 canonical Spanners:
1. Missed Apex: Moderator, Referee
2. Ringer: Funny British F1 Expert & Dad
3. Friday Patron Pod: Unfiltered/Unhinged
All three are great, would love more Friday patron pods!

Any chance that weβll be able to buy a signed copy directly from you at some point?
Earlier today as I was trying to get AWS to allocate me some GPUs I threatened to buy the H100 sitting on eBay for $32k and keep it under the desk in my [quite cold] office
