Does anyone know what this % is in the UK today? π€
π¨ It looks like the UK government is gearing up to upend copyright law in favour of AI companies, legalising the theft of their work.
This is despite creatives' huge protests, and despite previous proposals being roundly rejected by the public.
Please spread the word.

Good times. #FPL
Wow!! Hope beats hate πͺπ
I actually feel a bit emotional reading the news this morning. π₯²
The effects of AI feel a bit like the effects of Brexit.
βThe discourseβ is actually quite boring. Like we know itβs happening nowβ¦ resigned to the fact we canβt really stop itβ¦
I just want to project forward 5 years & know what sort of Brexit weβre getting so we can adapt & get on with our livesβ¦
How did I miss this music video the first time roundβ¦ itβs tragic and beautiful youtu.be/sglbIVO9IQQ?...
This series is brilliantly made. A perfect blend of drama and clarity. We need these stories told as soon as possible, to as many people as possible.

Illegal drugs have been bought, sold and used in the playgrounds where I grew up and where I live now. Under both Labour and Conservative governments.
Whats the point in Labour scaremongering by saying something might happen in the future when itβs already happening under their Government. π€¨
This week saw Professor Michael Wooldridge deliver our Michael Faraday Prize Lecture, exploring the gulf between popular expectations of what AI should be like and the realities of the LLMs that we use today. Watch the full lecture now: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CyyL0yDhr7I
Tonight I saw my first Frederick Wiseman film. High School at the Watershed with Bristol Doc Club. Really interesting filmmaking approach. Very thought-provoking.
Feels spooky to read of his passing just a couple of hours later.
Rest in peace. I will learn from your amazing work you left us with.
@thecenci.bsky.social - another brilliant article πππ
Phwoahhh. Oh yes. π
Meanwhile really good films are being missed because they donβt have a marketing budget.
Thatβs why I like @letterboxd.social because the crowd-sourced reviews average out, to cut through the marketing noise.
Itβs democratic what rises to the top. Itβs a free βfilm schoolβ recommendations engine.
It creates jobs but over time it might turn people away from the cinema. Audiences will become cynical. Itβs the Netflix effect hitting cinema. Eventually people will assume things are probably mediocre and over-marketed, so they wonβt bother buying tickets.
People are calling the trend βaesthetic trash cinemaβ. Make it look great visually, sell it hard, but story is crap, it says nothing, itβs only meant to be watched once, in the cinema. Money. Bosh.
Two star. this is what happens when you let people who were born to make aesthetic pinterest boards direct movies
One star. I suppose I could have saved myself two hours by setting fire to my money and pissing on Emily Bronte's grave myself.
Two star. Emerald fennell transitions look like some tiktok chefs transitions and I'm pissed tf off
One star. went into this with zero expectations. turns out i was still too optimistic
Letterboxd reviews of βWuthering Heightsβ are making me laugh.
Itβs marketed heavily and so itβs still set to make its Β£59m production costs back in just 3 days.
Last 20 minutes of that was a cracker. Love Brentford when theyβre not our opposition π
The ref has Gabriel triple captain #FPL
To be fair, we should be hoping to be more than 3 points ahead of Brentford when that fixture finally comes along! π
I apologise for doubting them! β
They are in the race!
Saturday 2nd May Man United v Liverpool Saturday 9th May Liverpool v Chelsea Sunday 17th May Aston Villa v Liverpool

Even Jacquet got injured in his first game since we signed him. π©
Bad luck:
- the parade tragedy
- Diogo RIP
- Guehi
- Leoni
- Isak
- Bradley (+ Frimpong & Gomez)
Results:
- lost the Shield on pens
- lost last minute to Palace, Chelsea, United, Bournemouth and City
- canβt beat newly promoted teams at home
- 2 PL streaks of 1 win in 7
Plus the Salah interview π€·π»ββοΈ
Itβs like Slot has been playing Football Manager and found last season too easy so he whacked it up to the hardest settings as soon as the title was secured.
The run of bad luck since then is just crazy. Feels like a truly cursed season.
Imagine if City miss out on the title on goal difference.
Farce from the PGMOL. Whats the point. Whats the point in them. They ruin this sport. Week in week out.
