Week 12 / Day 6 πŸ‘Ÿ
Nice windy, rainy long run. Thankful for the warming trend and my beautiful nearby state park. Splits wandered a bit but it was a hilly route.
Last pic is my post-run date look. I still clean up okay. πŸ˜…

Week 12 / Day 4 πŸ‘Ÿ
This morning was my PERFECT run conditions. Light rain, pre-dawn, 55Β°F (12.7Β° C) Really good way to start my day ☺️ Another easy five since it’s cutback this week. Looking forward to upper body strength work tonight as well! πŸ’ͺ🏻

Great work! I should do more intervals but it’s probably my least favorite thing πŸ˜†

Just a random reminder that over 50 members of Congress collectively own millions of dollars in defense contractor stocks.

They stand to personally profit from wars that enrich these contractors.

Make no mistake, this is legalized corruption.

Watch how they vote this week.

Happy little zone 2 this morning with gorgeous splits. Grateful this is a cutback week after two 40+ mile weeks in a row.

Week 11 / Day 7 πŸ‘Ÿ
Glorious long run Sunday. Hopefully the last time this season that the real feel is below freezing. Splits all over but it was long and hilly in some serious wind. πŸ’¨

Week 11 / Day 6 πŸ‘Ÿ
Beautiful day for what is normally a freezing cold race. This is a pacing challenge as The Bear is a 5k, pause, 5-mile. I could’ve shown more restraint in the first and avoided a walk break near the end, but still happy overall.

That’s a big jump! I’ve got 18 this weekend also and then a cutback week before my first of two 20-milers this plan.

Overall really good! There’s some mental fatigue around planning routes for the long runs. But I’m feeling pretty confident :)

Week 11 / Day 3 πŸ‘Ÿ
This morning was such a fun and pretty run. Sun was coming up, wasn’t very cold, and I explored the local golf course (unexpectedly hilly- hence the wonky 7th split) for the first time. So peaceful.

Week 10 / Day 7 πŸ‘Ÿ
My first ever 40+ mile training week is complete! The first mile was a little clunky but once I warmed up I quite enjoyed a peaceful zone 2 run in the snowy woods.

Week 10 / Day 6 πŸ‘Ÿ
This felt incredible. Got an early start & feared I had underdressed at first, but out into a headwind & back with a tailwind, my old friend summer long run classic rock playlist, mentally sailed through & physically felt strong.

I have serious trust issues with socks! In two years the only time I’ve gotten a blister was from a single workout in no-shows. ☹️

My partner is training for a half marathon right now and running 3 or 4 days a week. I’m running five days a week, so it’s quite a lot at our house. πŸ™ƒ
