Soham murderer Ian Huntley dies after prison attack Huntley, who murdered two schoolgirls in 2002, had his life support switched off on Friday, the BBC understands.

Good riddance.

Sidenote: I used to live in a small welsh town called Chepstow and there was a rumour that Maxine Carr had been housed on her release in a flat above a local chippy next to a tesco express over the road from our house.

Scrutinising Reform's plan for Wales We covered their manifesto launch and looked at the plans closely

I have been through Reform's manifesto for Wales so you don't have to.

(Spoiler, there are a lot of holes in it)

Today is St David’s Day: patron saint of Wales, of course, but also of vegetarians and poets. He was reputed to have helped introduce bees to Ireland. He is famously quoted as saying β€œGwnewch y pethau bychain”, meaning β€œDo the little things”. Small changes and good choices matter, especially now.

The real threat to democracy doesn't come from 'family voting'. It comes from the losing side refusing go accept they've lost

Currently Reading: One Yellow Eye by Leigh Radford

Thanks to @lydscl.bsky.social for the recommendation.

I was hooked from the very first paragraph.

This book was supposed to go on my March TBR, but who can wait with a premise like this? πŸ˜„

So glad some of them resonated! And excited to see you've picked up One Yellow Eye already! Pagans is definitely unique, I loved the premise of a serial killer mystery set in a 'what-if the Norman conquest never happened' UK! The Berry pickers is definitely a different pace from both of them!

I hope you love it too!!

I loved The Berry Pickersthis month and a favourite of 2025 was Pagans - crime/mystery/alt history/fantasy/scifi (waterstones scifi/fantasy book of the month in feb), also loved One Yellow Eye, The Kaiju Preservation Society and Story of a murder recently!

I'm currently reading Boleyn Traitor, I also have The House of Boleyn to start. I've also read Anne Boleyn & Elizabeth I & the Marquess House series - The Catherine Howard/Elizabeth Tudor/Arbella Stuart/Jane Seymour Conspiracy and have pre-ordered The Beheading Game.

Very much back in my Tudor era!

This is a very scary page torn from the trump playbook. It needs to be stamped on now.

The Godzilla theme goes so hard! Still can't get over the fact Simon Says used it as a sample, never knew until watching this film the first time!

OK posted this before the first big attack after the island...works amazingly well desaturated!

Finally watching Godzilla minus one / minus colour. I thought it would add to it, but it surprisingly hasn't (hasn't detracted from it either) so i feel better that I can't get the special editions with both versions.
Still an incredible bit of filmmaking, still 5*. Can't wait for minus zero!
