It went from snow on Monday to 75 degrees in the house today and I have windows open and turned on the ceiling fan... which rained dust on us all because... housekeeping is not my forte and we've been busy. So now the air filter fan is running as well. But whoa the temp shifts.
My houseguest left this morning and I took advantage and took one whole glorious afternoon for myself and ate lunch out alone with a book. Heaven. I also mapped out where my old dance class has moved too, so I am hoping to start dropping in there soon. It's odd finding things that are just for me.
FoF has worked miracles within the confines of WebEx. Imagine what they can do with a platform that works for them, not against them!

I came an inch away from losing my left eye during a performance of Pirates of Penzance.
My grandparents were all born between 1900-1906. We've had a tradition of later marriages in the family.
Thanks to @cjsubko.bsky.social for bringing it up, my Grandmothers both stayed home with their kids, but before they were married one was a nurse & the other used to play piano, including a disastrous time when she played for a silent movie and forgot every piece but Funeral March of a Marrionette.
So Hamvention is in my backyard if that is ever something you are interested in. I've worked parking for it for a few years now.
One grandfather was a janitor at a school and the other worked in a ball bearing factory and had a small farm.

Ugh, I hate when that happens. I had a pair that survived getting hit of my face multiple times break randomly while sitting listening to music. I hope it can be fixed/replaced easily and quickly.

The house excavation is happening... I have moved furniture that does not usually get moved and the amount of cat hair.... ooof. I have guests coming Thursday but it's been a wildly busy few years and I have let things slide... so we are catching up on the deep clean.
I find it so frustrating when children dying of a vaccine preventable disease is "God's will" and we can't interfere. But "bringing the return of Jesus via Armageddon" is something we are supposed to actively work towards despite the human toll. So suffering for other people becomes the point.

The snow here lasted only about 5-6 hours before it melted. But soon the rains. We are supposed to be raining until Sunday with very brief breaks. So March is not in like a lion or in like a lamb, more like in a duck...
When my eldest child left the house we had no snow. In the 40ish minutes between the next kid getting up and ready we have an inch of snow on the ground. Ohio weather is wild.

My children have the oddest ways of asking questions. Today my kid asked, "Mom what is Canadian?"
After an existential moment, we got around to Canadian media which was what the question was really about... but that was a sideway way into it.
Scouts kinda segregate kids by gender, but they have been opening a path to mix gender packs and troops in the last years, and it's been wildly successful... mostly because the kids DNGAF, and getting enough parents to volunteer to run 2 units that will pretty much do all the same things is a PITA.
All the errands today got done. I need to do one more task tonight, then start loading my car with everything I'll need tomorrow. Tomorrow we go to the grocery shop and then set up, and by dinner time we should be done... for good.
Look, I've seen the affects of girls in scouts troops first hand. It's been wild... a bunch of kids have had fun and learned new skills. That's it. Shocking I know.
