I don't even think the pronouns and safe space jokes are very offensive, they're just so overused and old by now with no innovation it's just not funny amore.
But they want it to offend some people in hope it gets people in the seats anyways.
Reviving Scary Movie in the 2020s still having the humour of the 2000s and the attitude of the 2010s quickly shows why this movie doesn't work nowadays.
It's a franchise already known to have a shelf life already being dated by the time it comes out.
