Idk it’s just so strange to read! You only really learn about Spielberg through the lense of film, where he’s regarded as a god. Now I’m reading a book about him being immature, vindictive and jealous of John Landis of all people.
The author admits he can’t corroborate this, but there’s a rumor Spielberg tried to get Dee Wallace fired after having a conflict with her on E.T. His own mother is quoted in this book acknowledging his immature, vindictive side.
I’m reading Outrageous Conduct, which covers the Twilight Zone accident that led to the deaths of Vic Morrow and two children. It obviously goes in depth on the life of the director John Landis, but a side effect is that I’m getting forbidden gossip on Stephen Spielberg too.

I was mostly able to follow! I didn’t think it was great but it’s not a bad movie. My biggest takeaway is that it’s lacking an emotional beat that Disney movies usually have and feels more plot driven instead.
