Todd Craig author of K for the Way posing with this book

Hey #4C26 we’re getting ready for ya
Loved this book! Did you read the Glass Hotel as well?
Weirdly delighted by this loungy instrumental version of Clint Eastwood they’re playing on my flight to Cleveland #CCCC2026
Get thee a partner who will buy you a cameo of an aging rockstar singing Teenage Dirtbag at times incredibly off key (but I love it)
Of course! Though I will admit that most of the annotations are basically directly paraphrased from the Gifford, so you might just be better off just buying that instead of squinting at my handwriting 😂 tinyurl.com/52z2dbac
OK but what is your most heavily annotated book? This is my undergrad copy of Ulysses in case you needed proof that I was uncool in college.
Very excited to celebrate these books at #CCCC2026 in Cleveland next week! My calendar is quickly filling up but if you have a #writingstudies #teamrhetoric project don't be shy & let's ~chat~
Northanger Abbey will always be my favorite Austen because the moral of the story is Don't Read Trashy Books Or You Might Actually Die

My first podcast appearance 🥹
Thank you to @katecarp.bsky.social for having me on to demystify book publicity! I had so much fun yapping about it all and I’m glad we ended on the hill I will die on: books will ALWAYS matter. Culture doesn’t move without ideas and ideas still start on the page.
Here today to extoll the virtues of a ~freshly~ sharpened pencil #amediting
I wasn't on old Twitter! But I'm definitely still grumpy about the CONCOMITANT scandal from a few days ago. Pitchforks. Torches.
Also CELEB 😡
RIGHT?
Will never stop being annoyed that AARGH is somehow an accepted 🐝 word but perfectly respectable terms like FOMITE and PIPA are not
OK but that adaptation of Northanger Abbey is 🔥
Eye mask!

Screenshots from the TV show The Good Place that show the dialogue text: "Great news everyone! The funding came through!" "And you blew it all on Elsevier?"
Sad reality is that so much of institutional library $ goes to STM journals published by large (& arguably predatory) commercial publishers. So this is your regular reminder to tell your uni that buying high quality UP books in the humanities & social sciences is also an important research priority!
