I'm on week 4 of the Artist's Way! It is reading depravation week. I'm trying read use social media less than usual.
So far, I'm loving the challenge and I've been very productive creatively. I've finished writing two short stories in 4 weeks which I'm really happy about!

Every year my book club does a challenge and this year is Epic Poetry🏹 We're reading The Odyssey, The Iliad, The Aeneid, Divine Comedy, and Paradise Lost. I loved Emily Wilson's Odyssey and Iliad, and this month I'm working on The Aeneid.

Thank you! It's my paper republic journal in the color "Natural" its gotten shiny and orange over time I love it🧡

When I refill my fountain pen I get pretty green ink on my fingers and it's nice to look down and see the stains during the day.

I'm a little over halfway through Crime and Punishment and I'm absolutely loving it! It's my first Dostoevsky and I love his writing so much I've already bought another by him to read next. It keeps twisting and surprising me. It's also hilarious, which is impressive for a descent into madness🖤

Last week I finished Magic For Liars by Sarah Gailey for the June pick for my book club. It was fast and easy to pick up, even with a cold.
Soon it will be too hot to sit on the patio at my favorite cafe but I'll still try to read and write outside as long as I can until the heat chases me indoors.

I haven't read D.H.
Lawrence since college when I took a seminar on his work. Lady Chatterley's Lover was his last book, his most challenging, and his most controversial. It was actually burned in the streets of London. I'm loving it so far.

Lately, I'm reading and writing at my local cafe where I can sit outside as I read and type my current work in progress. I keep forgetting to post these little flip throughs.
