They're very similar, and actually I was inspired by an almost-identical project for Pulumi github.com/UnoSD/Pulumi... . I tried to contribute to it, but it didn't really go anywhere. Also, for my use cases, I found that the ecosystem of Terraform providers is much larger than Pulumi's.
