Oh okay I see what you mean, though I think that players wouldn't even be able to make their own checklist if they don't know what's in the game without consulting a wiki (assuming all the variants are covered). Like how would a new player know there's a rare axolotl color to discover?

Also the first Tuesday LIVE announcement in at least a while, so that's interesting.

Expecting 26.1 Pre-Release 1 today. If we get another snapshot, then 26.1 is almost definitely not releasing before the 31st.

There's a lot of really cool mobs in the game. Is finding them a bad thing? It would definitely encourage a bit of exploration and be a reason for players to be excited to investigate new areas.

Yeah 🤷‍♂️ I get why they stopped over the pandemic, and I get why they do Minecraft Live the way they do now, but the excitement over in-person events was really something else. It still would be great to have a selection of creator (and even developer) panels, even without an update announcement.

#MinecraftLIVE surely is being announced this week. I'm expecting we won't get it before tomorrow (important posts are generally Tues, Wed, or Thurs).

It is still possible that Live is on the 21st if the announcement is by the end of this week.

I might move one of my resource pack ideas to the top of my to-do list. I'm working on a build for my coming video, and I'm frustrated by the lack of practical options for what I'm trying to make. Keeping this vague for the moment, but I think people have been wanting this.

I am finally ready to put full focus on my next full video, the first since the undertaking of This Year In Minecraft 2025 in December.

I've had a bunch to work on this cycle so I focused a lot on Shorts, but now it's time for more real videos.

Thanks for the update. As a creator and someone who cares about the Minecraft community, stuff like this makes me nervous so glad to see that it's been resolved for today. I still hope that changes are made wherever necessary so that this doesn't continue to happen.

Hey @jebox.bsky.social! I hate to directly @ you about this, but in case it hasn't reached the Mojang team, there's been a bit of a stir today due to a DMCA strike on a video by popular Minecraft YouTuber wattles that is seemingly unfounded. Of course, this is a very worrying offense for (1/2)

Deserts got Camels, Archaeology, Dry Grass, Cactus Flowers, Ambient Sounds, Parched, and Camel Husks

Badlands got Armadillos, Wolves, Farm Animals, Dry Grass, and Ambient Sounds

Savannas got Armadillos and Wolves.

It's interesting how these biomes have gotten a bunch of updates recently (moreso the Desert and Badlands than the Savanna) and yet none of the features were from the Biome Votes.

Surprisingly, it looks like there's no #MinecraftLive trailer today, which means they might not announce until next week.

This adds a lot of uncertainty to when Minecraft Live is and when this spring drop releases.

The #MinecraftLive announcement trailer should drop either Wednesday or Thursday, based on historic data.

Remember, these trailers have never clearly had clues for upcoming drop, so it's probably not worth thinking about too hard.
