We (NC voters) took down our shitty Dem legislator who voted w/ NCGOP to override Shein’s vetoes against several anti trans kids bills. Same sentiment

I’ve got to give my senator Thom Tillis credit for doing his part. He does like to take down dumb shit Republicans when he sees an opening (widely rumored that he played a part in taking down Mark “piss Nazi” Robinson here in NC.

Valerie Foushee in NC is a reliable progressive vote in the House and she BARELY squeaked by in her primary yesterday.

Primary results yesterday tell us it is actually a very dangerous election for incumbents, and Mills isn’t technically incumbent but gets same “benefits”, but both parties are angry at incumbents so it’s not this great benefit rn.

Winning by 2% is margin of error territory especially in a poll of 237 ppl. You can see clearly that the wealthier voters are who are overwhelmingly supporting him. If the vote was only with working class (ppl making under $100k) he would not be the front runner it would be a statistical tie

I was extremely offline from about 2007 until about 2018 (raising a kid and health issues), so I have this huge hole in my knowledge of cultural minutiae during that time. Only knew of her regarding Elon/Grimes kidnapping drama, just heard 212 for the first time a few months ago!

I don’t think Trump or MAGA would have any problem or feel weak if he ends up ditching any of his female cabinet/leadership; serves their ultimate agenda, when he ends up with all white men heading his administration he and MAGA can point to the failure of these women to deny misogyny

Kinda extra embarrassing for Noem that Bondi gave her a roadmap (minus the $50k stock market blooper) - notebook full of sick burns to throw at Dems when they questioned her- and Noem didn’t copy her. Idk if she could have managed it though- Bondi is clearly more quick witted

I think if you compare her performance in front of Congress to Bondi, you can see why Bondi survived and Noem didn’t. Bondi is just smarter, and she came well prepared not to answer to Congress but to respond to Dems in the exact way Trump would appreciate.

Damn I don’t think I’ve seen Deborah Ross get this worked up ever! It’s my main complaint about having her as a rep, just rarely see her speak about anything. I was kinda pissed she didn’t get primaried so I’m glad to see her speaking out now (she doesn’t have to, she will win reelection here nmw)

Gotta say that when Collins first came over to CNN from a RW media channel, I figured she was hired to pull the network rightward. But I have been impressed with her, she asks hard questions and doesn’t give in when they try and dodge.

He’s served as AG and then Governor for the past 16 years, and he has never disappointed me that I remember. He consistently governed much more progressive than he appears/sounds.

Yeah, he’s still gotta win a 50/50 state in general election and it’s a landmine subject in a state with a lot of military. FWIW, knowing his veto history as Governor, he’s not gonna be one of the centrist Dems voting with Rs instead of the party.

Not a chance. I am an NC native, the man has run in 4 statewide elections and won every one of them- 2x AG, 2x Governor. If anything, he is a progressive disguised as a moderate. No need to worry about him being a turncoat. He’s good people.

Berger is the most powerful Republican in the NC legislature. He rules the senate with an iron fist. Him losing would be a gift to NC, regardless of how bad his replacement is they won’t have that seniority and power.

Pretty sure these dems that got voted out also helped the Rs pass a bunch of very nasty anti trans laws towards our kiddos, not sure if it’s all three? But good riddance to whichever one did, overriding a veto to torture trans kids is nasty work I hope that haunts them

Thank god! We NC voters worked hard to help our party overcome extreme gerrymandering and squeak by one seat to avoid R veto proof majority, all for these worthless Dem pols to vote against the party- especially egregious when going against Dem governor veto!

I need him to lose soooo badly. I would have preferred to know tonight that he lost, this is gonna be a drawn out thing obviously and ugh
