It does, doesn't it? And yet, *not* hating him would be the death of the soul.
They'll have to keep his grave under guard forever.

What if I'm deeply insubordinate, and possibly churlish?
I heard that Canterlot is in negotiations with Ponyville to temporarily trade princesses.
Like most security things, it comes down to 1) what attacks are you most worried about and b) where do you want to be on the 'security vs accessibility' see-saw.
If you're most worried about remote attack, this is a fine way to use a ridiculous password without having to remember it, I think.
Someone who steals the key would have a much smaller number of combinations to try in order to brute-force their way in compared to a password. The disclosure of the strings on your key (stolen source code or something) would be functionally identical to physically stealing the key.
Now it's MFA! Something you have plus something you know.
The three security factors are "something you know", "something you have", and "something you are". You've more or less traded "know" for "have" here. This is, broadly speaking, fine.
A photo of a cutting board with onion, garlic, and herbs in the background. In the foreground are a pair of pork chops, a cleaver embedded in one of them. Atop this is text reading "Ethical Consumption by S. Park"
A photo of a plated pork chop with mashed potatoes and some sort of bean. There is also a bottle of wine (a chianti) and a glass of the same, plus a dark pink orchid. The chop has a bite cut out of it, on a fork, as if about to be lifted and eaten.
COVER ART IS GO, WOO!
Front and back covers for my mini-zine are made. In the digital sense. Hehe. This WILL be a print zine, though I'll do a PDF version as well.
Honestly, having seen some deep dives into certain "techbro" people, there are literally billionaires out there who genuinely believe in whackadoo stuff about The Singularity, up to and including Roko's Bassilisk, so like...They're not making a business plan, they're trying to make God.
It was a really good series too, and we were all sad when their save got corrupted.
It's one of the fundamental strategies for handling the fundamental conservative flaw of not wanting to think about morality. If 'they' actually behave just like you, you no longer have a counter-example to introduce uncomfortable thoughts about how you behave.
Small domino to large domino meme reading "Lowtax bans underage anime porn from Something Awful" → "Fascist takeover of the United States"
You have got to be fucking shitting me. Every time I think this timeline can't get stupider.
Ooo! We found a large boulder the size of a small boulder one year! That was a great year.
A photo of a classic half-page fold zine, with a black and white illustration of a greek short-sword stabbed through a ball cap, red blood coming from the wound. The edge of a capital "A" can be seen on the cap. The book is titled "Like Sparta, S. Park"
This was written during/inspired by the BLM protests, especially in Portland, but I dunno, now feels like a good time to pitch it for some reason.
The god of war *doesn't* side with cowards, turns out. Or, some fascists have a REALLY bad (gory) time. :D
Let's go.
We can't.
Why not?
We're waiting for Godot.
Oh, you have good taste in orchestral music. I love that piece.
Oregon says: don't leave us here.
None of the Starfleet crew on Voyager knows how to regulate their own diet. I have accidentally justified Neelix's existence.
I retract this theory.
Presumably the replicators on the Enterprise interface with, say, biomonitors in your commbadge in order to provide you with normal-calorie foods up until it decides you don't need any more, then starts providing 0-cal versions. Uneaten food is counted when you return your plate to the replicator.
when I was in college, a part of our university's graduation requirements had a community service component that they called service learning. one of my service learning classes involved work at a local homerless community center, helping people write resumes and cleaning bathrooms. our instructor told us to expect to see the bathrooms trashed a lot - like you will clean the bathroom and immediately someone will wreck it.
and it's not because they disrespect your work or don't value having access to clean bathrooms or whatever, but because of control. when you feel like you have no control over your life or your environment, your brain is going to want to assert control however it can. which results in thrashed bathrooms. it's control exercised over one small part of your environment that you still have the power to affect.
i see kids on tumblr using the language of social justice as cudgels on people who actually do care about and listen to them. or holding the creators within their own communities to an impossibly high standard that they never apply to mainstream media properties.
i just see thrashed bathrooms. 'These are the people my voice actually reach,' they rationalize, 'so these are the people I'll hurt'. but the guiding principles of social justice are aimed at correcting and dismantling systems. stop using them to dismantle people.

What you *really* want is the unabridged Oxford English Dictionary. 21,728 pages.
The “prosecute the former regime at every level” candidate has my vote in 2028.
Vegas has been lame since the Star Trek Experience closed.
People who whine that feathered raptors aren't scary should be locked in an enclosure with an irritated cassowary.
This is good advice. My editing process definitely involves being really deliberate about "reading aloud" in my head. Slows you down and makes sure you consciously review each word. Also develops rhythm and timing.
So it's appropriate to arrest a world leader if you consider them criminal? You can just go get them? Just asking questions here.
