Dirty Business was a good docu-drama, the smiling menace of cloth-eared middle management employees spouting business speak was sadly typical of staff in most industries avoiding accountability. Not to gloat but rather to inspire now watch www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/epis... to see how things could be
Not AI, just me. I was only trying to say idiots on GB news promote US money making schemes for a reason
Card processing payments are made on every purchase. EG Mastercard & Visa (both US companies) charge businesses a small fee (0.3%), small fees add up when everyone uses them. Some people in the UK take bribes/donations to promote schemes that benefit the USA, see also Palantir, private health etc
More of this please - the Spanish PM said his country would βnot be complicit in something that is bad for the world.. simply out of fear of reprisals from someone". Also "You canβt respond to one illegality with another because thatβs how humanityβs great disasters begin.β
I'm glad someone else heard it, I was beginning to think I'd made a mistake!
Sadly no, but it was between 6-7am, probably nearer 7 in the paper review slot?
Thanks Colin, I will try to remember it next time i post, normally I stick to the first smiley face I see ever since my daughter told me they all have different meanings. I'll stick to Duolingo Italian & Gaelic π
I think I need a sarcasm emoji Colin, but too old to know if one exists!
Interesting, James Cook on GMS carefully explains how various papers are biased against Labour hence their negative take on Trumps remarks re Keir Starmer. I wonder if this apparently new understanding of press bias will now extend to pointing out the flaws in SNP bad stories?
Welcome to our world, SNP figures also face tougher questioning and often hostility
*Love* this video from @transparencyuk.bsky.social - what a compelling case for taking big money out of politics.
And who is that devilishly handsome Irish chap talking such sense in Parliament half way through π€£

No complacency. It won't happen if you don't get out and vote SNP. Simple as that.

"itβs an amazing story of a community triumph, showing how the nasty little habits of domineering policing can be countered by stubbornly British β and in this case, specifically Scottish β insistence on justice. Itβs a morale-boosting film"
Polls are great and weβre doing well enough that itβs all looking so positive.
BUT we will only win when enough people actually go out and vote #BOTHVOTESSNP
Knocking those doors has never been so important.
Getting out our vote is critical!
Without that, the polls are sadly, just a good news story
I've been once and need to return as there was too much to take in on just one visit. Some of the embroidery was incredible. Great way to tell a story and hopefully more will be added on - just imagine the independence panel!
2 yrs after the Post Office v Mr Bates we have Dirty Business, common theme of greedy, entitled people taking advantage of crap regulation to feather their own nests regardless of the little people. Alongside the Mandelsons, the Andrews, The Trumps, what a rotten, rotten world they have created
That's Labour's Scottish branch difficulty - voted in on a change agenda but many of the changes being introduced in the UK are already in place in Scotland. Not only that, Scottish labour msps fought against just about every one proposed by the SNP. Forked tongues required!
2) While Scotland has a high concentration of private schools in Edinburgh (about 1 in 4 pupils), the overall number is much lower than in England
@mrjamesob.bsky.social
1) There are significantly more private (independent) schools in England than in Scotland. England has over 2,400 independent schools, while Scotland has around 90-100 independent schools.

Hospital acquired infections under the SNP are between a fifth and a half of the level in 2006, under Labour, an eighth of the level in England and a third of the level in Europe.
Labour forget about their own record & never take facts into account.
