A cross stitched stained glass window of the head and shoulders of a black cat against a colorful background. There is a lot of stitching not yet done.
Also working on Black Cat Stained Glass 3. It's going much more slowly now that all the 310 is done!

A black cat sits on a branch with a dark gold full moon behind it, swirls and wee bats above it, "Oct 31st" across the bottom, and seventies-style triples arches in terracotta, gold and brown around the squared-off edges.
Working on Midnight Dreamer from The Wooly Ewe, using floss left over from my Pirate Robin thread pack for Cozy Nest. (Also using the thread pack for The Proper Stitcher's Merry Ewe, and likely several more projects bc WOWZA got a lot of floss!)

A black, white and purple cross stitch. There is a border of quilt stars and skulls, and it reads "one day your skull will be as empty as a conch shell on a fence post, full of wind and gentle quiet. Today it's a cauldron of ghosts flesh and electricity, water and memory, a machine that makes reality. Now, here, your skull is the garden where fact flowers into meaning."
Totally forgot to post the finish of the Cryptonaturalist Sampler. I did add some metallic silver here and there. Love it!! #crossstitch #screamingheartdesign

A frame of eight-pointed purple stars and white skulls are cross stitched around words that say, so far "one day your skull will be as empty / as a conch shell on a fence post / full of wind and gentle quiet / today it's a cauldron of ghosts / flesh and electricity, water and memory / a machine that makes reality". At the bottom: "Here your skull is the garden where facts flower into meaning."

A NashStashStartathon cutesy frame around part of the image of The Summoner from Autumn Lane Stitchery. The Summoner is the second Forbidden Forest chart. A human(?) person in an elaborate dress/robes hovers over a portal out of which a grotesque long-armed antlered demon emerges. The demon towers over and frames the tiny summoner.
Turns out I started something (The Summoner from Autumn Lane Stitchery), just not the thing I expected to start (Goddess of Bread from UnconventionalXStitch). #crossstitch

Stitched on The Cryptonaturalist Sampler from @screamingheart.bsky.social for the first time this year. I really need to get it finished, I'm at like 60% rn #crossstitch

It's Time for Halloween from Witch's Garden Crafts. Cross stitched to show Halloween things: jack-o-lanterns, ghosts, black cats, bats, pointy hats, pointy boots, skeletons, cauldron stew, witch's brew, broom zooms and candy corn.
It's not even close to the called-for colors (except black), and I have since learned that the printed DMC 14 count should not be used with designs that have white (this extra backstitch. It's Time for Halloween from Witch's Garden Crafts, finally done.

Two framed cross stitches. On the right, two deer are separated by a decorative garden urn. Lyrics from "What a Wonderful World" surround them. On the left, three stitching witches are framed by specialty stitches, some initials, and the words "Black Cat Society".
Got to see my stuff hanging in an Actual Needlework Show. Yay cross stitch!

A cross stitch, half done, of three shape of an owl against a star-filled sky. The owl's head and tail look like an owl. The shapes of its wings are filled with images of foxes in the forest under a moonlit sky.
In the Night Forest, Riolis kit. Saw this on 14ctAidaGirl's flosstube & got my own kit immediately. Really want the finished piece, but it has been a pain to stitch. I think I'm near 50%?

A cross stitch in black that reads "Please be patient with me, I am from the 1900s". The white spaces in the old-timey letters and furbelows in the top half of the piece are filled in with VERY bright yellow and orange beads.
More letters, more sparkly! I keep thinking it will go faster, but the beads are cheap(!!!) and getting them to line up has been very. I'm loving the results, though!

A cross stitch on black of selected lyrics from the song Cell Block Tango from the musical Chicago. Women posed behind cell doors against vibrant reds, oranges and yellows, are interspersed with lyrics that have the emphasized words in the same vibrant colors. Examples: "you POP that gum ONE MORE TIME" or "SINGLE my ASS".
Got more done on Taylor & Cromwell's "Cell Block Tango".

Today I have the fun of wearing jeans that aren't altered yet. The pockets are laughably shallow. The waistband is too wide. There's not enough fabric in the seat. This combo means even with a belt, I need a long shirt to keep from flashing underwear if I bend or sit. At least I *can* fix them. Sigh

A cross stitch that reads "Please be patient with me, I'm from the 1900s" in a black, old-timey font that is slowly being highlighted with very bright yellow and orange shiny beads.
The pattern doesn't call for beads, but SPARKLY MUST OCCUR. Design from @screamingheart.bsky.social, hopefully fully sparkly this week.

Cross stitch of a jackalope, except the jackalope isn't stitched, the oval background is stitched instead. Black backstitching needs to go around all the edges of the piece and then some. There is currently a needle with black thread swirled around on the fabric.
I can't start a jackalope until I finish a jackalope (it's a necessary rule). There's nothing left but 1500+ backstitches and some cross stitch flower centers!

A cross stitch of a stylized mountain scene with a tree on the left and a river running along the bottom. Everything is formed from Quaker motifs in variegated threads in blues for the water, greens for the tree and hills, yellows for the sun and a pretty blue-lavender-beige thread for the mountains.
I am running out of close-to-a-finish cross stitch projects. So, just finished this one:

Finished!
Dreaming of Autumn Leaves, Rosewood Manor (cropped)
Colors & Fabric: called-for
This just p. 1&2 of the full pattern. Things were duplicated/shifted to make the right side even. Disliked the fabric (too transparent), and a lot of scattered confetti. Stopping here, because I am done.

Hey, everyone. Let's share Rose's website as far and often as possible. Her name was scrubbed from NASA's website thanks to orders to erase women in STEM. Rose fought through poverty and homelessness, and every time I look at the moon, I think of her.
