Hugs.
No worries. It's all offset by the leveraged oil futures his kid bought before the bombing started.
Winning!

Pop Goes the World explains everything.
Take a look at the geography of the Strait of Hormuz and then remember that line in Das Boot about Gibraltar.
I'm not saying Iran can't be stopped from closing it, but I'm saying that it may well be a lot tougher than some think. It's hard to stop every fishing boat that can carry a mine.
I once hauled the much of the doghouse (fenders, grill, bumper) of a 72 Pontiac Ventura in a Chevette. I couldn't even sit properly but had to lean way over in the driver's seat.
Ah, to be 16, flexible and stupid again.
Some people have a truck because it's a cool bro thing.
I have a truck because it sucks to try to haul building materials in a Ford Escort. I know from experience.
It's enroute to Portland Oregon.
We should have learned that from the Beirut barracks bombing. Whether it's a truck bomb or a drone, at least it gives you a chance.
If it looks too confrontational. Good!
Force protection FTW.
(Some here on BSKY may find this confrontational, but remember it's from an old former soldier who's concerned for people needlessly getting killed.)
Have people forgotten that it's a good idea to set up .50 cal. positions around soft targets?
Good luck!
Nope. About as easily contained as a chickenpox outbreak.
Can we dig him up, prop him back up behind a podium as our SecDef?
I'm certain a dead Rumsfeld is more talented than a live Hegseth.
that the US and several countries within range have had.
Will the US/Israel end up destroying Karg Island either by choice or feeling they're forced into it. Will the Iranian government collapse, or will it continue to be able to control its population? Everything is up in the air.
Market's still uncertain about an awful lot of things in this. Will the Iranians be able to make good on their threat to close the Strait of Hormuz given how much damage their navy has taken already. Will they be able to substitute drones for stopping shipping given the problems intercepting -
US.
Operation "Epic Furry"?
(Picture shamelessly stolen from Reddit)
No. Both bastards, but different bastards.
MBS is Saudi and ordered the killing of Kashoggi.
Bin Sulayem, the email recipient, is from UAE. It was Epstein that said that he loved the torture video that Bin Sulayem sent him.
Are they books about a different but similar world literally blowing up?
I note that the US just fired a large number of Patriots defending Al Udeid.
Something must have been different. The first hit on 5th Fleet was a ballistic missile which would have been a prime target for Patriot. Why no attempt to intercept then?
As yet, we just don't know and I'm speculating.
- "US Interceptor Missile Kills Bahrainis While Trying to Defend an Empty Base" is a lot different headline than "Qataris Killed by Interceptor Trying to Stop Missile Targeting the City".
Especially if it was at the request/action of the Qatari government.
I was offering one possibility. YMMV.
In Qatar, the target seemed to be the city itself. An intercept is better than a direct hit on that.
Also, were those US or Qatari controlled interceptors? Diplomatically it makes a difference.
The concern wouldn't have been directly for individuals but for the diplomatic look. -
- than letting them impact a largely empty base.
The Accuracy on the Iranian weapons seems pretty good rather than like a Scud where it's a crapshoot where it falls.
5th Fleet Headquarters was evacuated already and there's limited political/diplomatic fallout from just destroying radars and buildings we can rebuild.
I wonder if trying to intercept the weapons at close range poses a higher risk of interception debris killing Bahrainis in the surrounding city. -
I shed no tears for the Iranian leaders that were killed. They were brutal thugs.
I worry that our ability to shape what comes after this is very limited. May the Iranian people get a government that is markedly better.
Let's hope it doesn't turn into as many weeks as Putin's 3 day SMO did.
A weapon no one has seen.
So, the general is saying that he hasn't seen it either?
In Watergate era speak: "Those statements are no longer operative."
Thanks for the Music, Neil.
