Don't just read the headline, read the blog. There's some really good insights in here. Especially around setting deadlines for yourself.
Maybe storyboarding? Really good story boarding means fully realizing a scene which I think is an underrated skill. Knowing how to move the plot along, coordinate it, frame it, get the timing right, get the characters right, there's a lot to it. I feel like really understanding that skill is key.

A sleeping crocodile with sunglasses and a faux leather jacket. It is not angry.
I got some great feedback! It was suggested I adjust the sunglasses to make the character look less cranky. Such a small adjustment makes a huge difference, thank you!
This is what my layers look like. I have a layer effect on the entire body that adds that white sticker. Inside of that, the crocodile and the Zs have a black outline of their own. The first Z needed special attention. The bubble effect appears over the croco by using a mask & another Z.
This is a preview of what the emoji looks like in both light and dark mode at the smallest size.

Today I tried using #Affinity to make an emoji instead of Inkscape. Oh my goodness, this is so much better! The way it handles layering, effects, and clipping is so much easier.
Next, I want to try animating it. I'm thinking of using #Cavalry to add some animation to this.
