She Was Denied an Abortion After Roe Fell. This Is a Year in Her Family’s Life. Tennessee law prohibits women from having abortions in nearly all circumstances. But once the babies are here, the state provides little help. We followed one family as they struggled to make it.

⪼⪼In 2023, ProPublica reported how Mayron Hollis faced a life-threatening pregnancy under Tennessee’s abortion ban. A photographer and reporter then continued to follow the family for a year.
