But still probably not worth all of the environmental, social and political mayhem AI is/will cause.
I am a terrible speller and very early adopter of computers, so have been relying on spell check for years. But that doesn't stop semantic errors. I almost released a computer manual with the first chapter about "how to install the software onto your hard dick". AI would have caught that.
Sir Walter Elliot in Jane Austen's "Persuasion" has a long rant about how the navy could raise men of obscure birth to high status:
It didnβt hurt the sale of βtomatoesβ
Which has grown more in the length: the DSM or the Manual of Style?
Is it bad that I never really liked the book? Too much wuthering. The Austenaphilia runs deep with me.
I am torn. I didn't like Harry Potter from the get go. And I still don't even after finding out the author is a terrible person. So glad that my daughter did not take to it so I don't have to read it to her.
I just got my updated property assessments. For the past three years the total assessment has gone up quite a bit, but the land value has stayed constant. That seems totally backwards! My 1920s wood house is not magically improving in quality. The increase in value is due to the location.
I see what you did there.
Funnily enough I never knew that was a law and my friends and I were never stopped by police for the many games we played on the street in our neighborhood off Rugby Road. I canβt imagine why.
Is there a restriction on the improvement rate? Can we make it 0 and have a full on land value tax?
Can we make the improvement rate 0? (Says the kid raised in the shadow of Henry George)
Iβll give that a try. I put salt down last night and am curious if that will make it easier. Have not left the house today!
Amazing how the WSJ and Bloomberg are so much more direct. No waffle words.
WSJ: "Videos Contradict U.S. Account of Minneapolis Shooting"
Bloomberg: "Border Patrol Kills Man as Minnesota Crackdown Fuels Outrage"
My social media gets very strange when there is a big sporting event going on and I have no idea what anyone is talking about.
Less nice when you need to go somewhere on the e-bike and forget your gloves.
Charlottesville can learn a lot from Zohran
And particularly applicable to Charlottesville.
That was my favorite line of the speech.
I was sorry to miss it!
80% of my extended family came down with flu over the holidays. Weβre mostly all better but it was not fun.
Who does own the K-mart site and what is being planned for it?
Definitely try to get to the original on 9th St in the East Village
Might be a good time to re-watch this John Oliver episode on McKinsey: youtu.be/AiOUojVd6xQ?...
Which school system?
I have to assume he negotiated a very hefty βbreakupβ fee.
Well he did spend 20-plus years at McKinsey so that tracks.
I think the courts at Keswick did this back when Keswick was the less expensive scrappy club that the liberals would join.
