Made chicken paprikash and spaetzle for the first time. Didn’t turn out too bad, gotta say. Couple things I learned for next time.
Recently learned about Charro Beans. They've since become arguably my favorite bean dish I've made lately. I just made a batch yesterday and I did a write-up on my blog just now detailing my method. Go have a look-see.
Cinnamon apple crumble is ready. Bring your bowls.
Serving suggestion with a scoop of sea salt caramel truffle ice cream.
Breakfast of champions.
How it started vs how it ended. Made charro beans for the first time. In photo 1 in the pan is bacon, chorizo, onions, garlic, tomatoes, and jalapeños. That got added to a pot full of pinto and black beans.
The toppings are seasoned steak, homemade guacamole, lime, queso fresco, and diced onions.
Pumpkin cheesecake snickerdoodles are out of the oven. But to be honest, they will be much better tomorrow.
So, you have some time to get here.
I made an Italian-inspired version of my Lumberjack Beans.
I swapped out the spices for oregano, basil, and fennel seeds. I added tomato sauce. The meatballs are made with beef and hot Italian sausage. Oh, and I added some roasted garlic.
Lumberjack Beans with turkey meatballs is ready. Bring your bowls.

My obsession lately has been this chocolate pudding recipe that starts with 6 hard-boiled eggs. It doesn’t taste at all like the eggs, just a super-smooth, delicious chocolate pudding. I made a batch on Friday and finally did a write-up on my blog, including a somewhat-ridiculous feature photo.
For weeks now, my dessert has been chocolate pudding made with hard-boiled eggs. Sound disgusting? I thought so, too. But, I promise you, it doesn't taste like eggs. It just tastes like absolutely amazing chocolate pudding.
Full recipe up on my blog. ^_^

Made it for the first time. It was pretty good. But, I mean, it’s bechamel on toast. How wrong can it be?
And another batch of spicy pickles go into the brine. Went with 4 halved Serrano peppers again because I really liked that. I also grated the garlic instead of just crushing it in hopes of getting more garlic flavor in there. We’ll see in about a week and a half.
For dessert this week, S’mores treats.
Think Rice Krispie treats, but Golden Grahams with dark chocolate chips and some extra marshmallows mixed in.

Well, those fursuits have a lot of padding. Gets very warm in there.
People: We’re so sick of the same shit from Hollywood! No more superheroes, remakes, reboots, and se/prequels!
Also People: Oooh! A new superhero/remake/reboot/se/prequel! Let’s see it 5x!
I haven’t been to the movies in 15+ years. But obviously, people like ‘em enough to keep making ‘em.
I never truly understood “pollen season” until I moved to Atlanta. Whooof. You don’t even necessarily need allergies to be affected. If someone throws a handful of flour in your face, you will cough and sneeze. And that’s what it’s like. A month and change of having a handful of flour to the face.
Punk is extremely Antifa. Fascists hate PBS and libraries.
So, very much so yes, loving PBS and libraries is punk AF.

The simple things.
It’s been a decade since I last had just boxed au gratin potatoes. Well, I finally got some. And I didn’t have to share.
