I know that it makes sense that Gim should be pronounced “Jim” but back in 1982, the 11 year old me pronounced it with a hard G and so that is how it will be forever more…

I (an English person) once had to arrange training for a group of Dutch and Belgians. I thought myself *so* clever arranging separate sessions in 3 different languages - 1 French, 1 Flemish & 1 Dutch - it was quickly pointed out to me that I wasn’t as clever as I thought I was!
