At 16 my son developed a rash from backbone around to chest. It was indeed shingles. Dr spec in dermatology had to ring around his colleagues to see if they recommended adult meds because it’s so rare in kids. My step son also had it as a teen so maybe genetic?
Both my kids had the full vax schedule as required to attend daycare and school in Australia. They both caught chickenpox as 5 and 6 year olds. Daughter barely a dot, son very badly. Dr said imagine how horrible it would have been WITHOUT vaccination? He is obviously more susceptible.
