I want to be an artist, but I don't want to learn how.
I want to be a filmmaker, but I don't want to learn how.
I want to be a musician, but I don't want to learn how.

AI, for those who can't, don't, and won't.
Once AI 'films' start hitting the market, it'll be like the C-list movies you see on DVD at Target with 6 price tags layered over one another as they decrease the price every month hoping someone will buy it until they eventually penny it out and throw it in a dumpster.
It was probably never a good book to begin with if we're being honest, lol. I may take you up on that though, thanks!
Really dumb tweet that says, "In my opinion, running an AI film competition before Seedance 2.0 is publicly released feels unfair. Participants who already have early access are clearly using Seedance 2.0, while those who donβt have access simply canβt compete on the same level. Like it or not, the difference in results is noticeable. I think it would make more sense to put the competition on hold and extend it until Seedance 2.0 is available to everyone. That way, all participants have equal opportunity. But maybe there are other perspectives, Iβm not seeing, what do you think?"
Da Vinci to Michelangelo:
"In my opinion, running an art competition before burnt sienna is publicly released feels unfair."
Getting Your Book Published for Dummies.
Lmao, was organizing an old box of books just now and came across this 26 year old book I forgot I owned. It's a sign.
Luckily I can lean into my artistic abilities just paint shit I can't write well, lol.
I'm gonna make a book before I die. Maybe more than one.
Just putting this out in the world to try and hold myself accountable. It's basically worthless, but I'm getting a small amount of dopamine from posting, so that's something.
The Supreme Court has declined to hear a case over AI's copyright eligibility, effectively backing the United States Copyright Office's stance that copyright only applies to human authored works π₯
Like, if you haven't seen anything about this yet, just watch it, don't look at any trailers. Trust me.
I missed it in the theatre, but Predator Badlands, what a fucking awesome movie. It goes so many places I just didn't expect, hot damn was that my jam. Every Dan Trachtenberg Predator project has been better than the last and they're all so good.
I've bounced back and forth between the two a lot, there are always tradeoffs, haha.
Right? I've tried a number of different surfaces, but this Strathmore paper finally made it click and I was like, "Oooh, this is how it's supposed to work."
I'm a huge fan of puzzles and the process of watercolor feels like putting together a puzzle for me, it's cool.
I swapped out my mixed media paper for just straight watercolor paper, and I think for the first time in my life I'm actually really vibing with watercolors. I love gouache still, but watercolors are really kind of special once you wrap your head around them.
Sunlight gleaming off the Salesforce tower in San Francisco in a star like pattern in the fog.
When I was working in San Francisco, sometimes the light and fog would do this weird dance off the Salesforce tower, it shimmered and shifted as the clouds moved past. I don't think I ever got a video unfortunately.
I've read the Hot Zone and Panic in Level 4, I'll have to pick that one up. The Hot Zone terrified me for years.

They need to do what liquor stores do and install some serious bollards.
Do you like war, and being surveilled at all times, and having concentration camps, and state sanctioned murder in the streets, and also you can't afford anything because jobs are going, homelessness is criminalized, and also your air and water and food are polluted? America #1!
I would like to remind people that AI has already been used to kill people
OpenAI and Microsoft supplied Israel with AI models to track and kill people in Gaza which led to increased civilian deaths

βItβs difficult to understand the scale of the problem, but OpenAI itself estimates that more than a million people every week show suicidal intent when chatting with ChatGPT.β
things every single republican president of your lifetime has done
- started a war in the middle east
- completely destroyed the economy
So letβs think about this.
A private company refused - on principle - to yield to the governmentβs demands.
The government then cancelled its contracts with the company and has set about destroying it
I really want to get that Wacom MovinkPad Pro 14, but not being able to right click with the pen when connected to the PC is a total deal breaker for me. If they can fix that, I'm in.
Best of luck, what a headache.
Try to get on an authenticator app if you get it back, email and phone number can be compromised a lot easier. Also, not sure if the initial issue was a phishing thing, but always check the sender, and don't click links in emails unless you're sure it's safe, best to type the address in yourself.
They're consistently awesome as a company.
Are you using the authenticator app or phone number?
