I can't believe I once tried to learn kotlin. imagine showing that poor, suffering sucker chatgpt
its december 1, 2022 - I sit my girlfriend down to watch a 5 year old robert miles video about mesaoptimizers before I can explain to her what chatgpt is. she makes fun of his hair. I tell her to show some fucking respect
wait... when did codex add /fast? I'm being rewarded for underutilizing my plan? thank you.
I think "cyberpunk (good)" is off the table and we gettin "cyberpunk (bad)"
coworker: "localhost? can you spell that?"
monitoring the situation
every month where I don't hit my usage limit is a month where I failed at building a flywheel, just leaving momentum on the table.
I still gotta prompt the lil guy
I have so many examples of how exactly I build things and logs of my prompts that I suspect even building the scaffolding and instructions for this is something I can mostly offload to codex.
I need to upgrade my "make idea into code" workflow into something that's more like a task inbox for an agent. I'm doing way too much manually still, and my "effort to first working prototype" should be like... 0. or the effort it takes to write the idea down.
manically alt tabbing between claude code and slay the spire 2 until I die from dehydration
it was (deep)fate. even the set of accounts it shows is random
bsky.app/profile/code...
yeah, I think they're basically always chasing anthropic in ux so it makes sense. good change though especially for people who just leave max thinking on all the time.
chatgpt-5.4 in the actual web interface seems to mix responses and thinking/research more and tries to give you some useful information as quickly as possible. like "early results point heavily towards X" within a few seconds even if it's going to keep thinking for 10 minutes.
testing ways of displaying streams of bisks
forgot the word performant and kept having to say performative even though I knew it wasn't right it was very painful
scanning a bunch of photos of me as a baby. I was born on my mom's birthday unexpectedly and they had to improvise:
this made 2056 seem further away than before. like 1996 was forever ago
what does a bisk floating in the wind even look like? sure, it could just use the pfp of the person who posted it, but that feels like a cop out.
I was already a codex boy so I'm mostly comparing it to 5.3 rather than opus 4.6, which I have barely used. it does seem a bit less annoying, but it's hard to say since it's usually pretty high variance
gpt-5.4's first task: integrate The Tree with CRT shader
well well well what do we have here
how would a "MWI implies modal realism" subscriber deal with modal realism implying that MWI isn't true in some universe where it's as obviously true as it is in this one?
I'm really tired of games without voice acting. it's really annoying that there's a giant cadre of people ready to crucify any game that uses AI to fix this, despite it clearly being the case that it would not be "replacing" anyone. BECAUSE THEY DONT HAVE VOICE ACTING NOW
playing around with a hologramish shader effect. virtual cube on an actual cube, with an RGB subpixel effect on the surface. uses additive blending, but also has an absorption parameter that lets each subpixel absorb the other two channels. the blend parameter blends subpixel color into each other
"hey"
simulation argument is obviously right for LLMs
