In 2013 Aaron Swartz committed suicide for facing 35 years in prison for mass downloading scientific articles.

13 years later, Meta is almost getting away with an infraction orders of magnitude larger.

I think it's pretty important to understand that algorithmically-run platforms have long understood anger and argument drives much more engagement than just showing you stuff you like, and if you find yourself being made to despair at what a platform shows you, that is the system working as intended

I have a folder of inspirational art and stuff, I save it in jpeg, sometimes PNG. The WEBP one is annoying because You can't easily open it and stuff so if I try to save one for later and it's in that extension it ANNOYS ME >:[

people who do physical sports and stuff are always talking about how fun it is despite it being difficult and effortful. snowboarders are literally slamming into rocks and breaking their wrists and shit And being like man i love snowboarding. I think this is a good mentality for artists to have too

I've seen a lot of good stuff from You but this has it all. The aesthetics is very pleasing, the situation is fun, hot and creative, it's something "mildly unusual" and "nothing I've ever seen before" yet still very vanilla, charming and a "believable" and "playful" setup
