behind every gay person there’s a gayer and more unhinged person.

Say it with me now:
Facism always dies violently.
Sometimes it takes a minute.
We are currently in that minute.
But it *always* dies
And always *violently*
kind of darkly funny that "gender studies" is the stereotypical "useless degree" because gender studies will help you understand a large and important chunk of the current psychosis in american life
A meme from the show The Umbrella Academy in which two people pass each other in cars going in opposite directions. The first car is labeled “people in 1999 using the Internet as an escape from reality”, and the second image is labeled “people in 2026 using reality as an escape from the Internet”.

Who remembers the entire hidden shmup stage in Dyna Gear? I'm guessing nobody until I showed it off in 2020 as it was absolutely undocumented on video or in any language
As weird secrets go, this is definitely in the top tier for me. A whole stage in a different genre to the main game

I feel like the world needs far less resolution and far more aliasing. Pixels and ambiguity can save us all
TIL: When the Original Star Wars Trilogy finally aired on Chilean TV in 2003, the network spliced custom beer commercials into the films themselves to avoid cutting to commercial breaks.
these additional scenes turn Obi-Wan & Luke into raging space alcoholics who are constantly shotgunning booze.

In all seriousness, a non-zero number of men struggle and lash out because they choose to sublimate homosocial bonding and homosexual attraction for a strict heterosexual binary, and it is absolutely ruining their psyches and our entire society.
I do not often retweet but after following some of the people from Idle Thumbs Network -> Waypoint -> Remap, I truly cannot recommend these people enough (Articles, streams and podcast included).
Insightful, often timeless coverage of video games themselves, the industry and often life itself.

Thank you for this, @profgalloway.com.
Happy Black History Month, and yeah, we're still doing that.
Nothing is more effective as a game walkthrough than an enormous plaintext document from gameFAQS dot com.
Breathe & Flow on YT has a bunch of great videos at all levels for free, then a patreon/app if you really like their stuff. Best of luck!

Here are five amazing cheeses paired with five amazing games because after @gamesdonequick.bsky.social's cheese donation yesterday, I was aghast to find out so many gamers weren't familiar with incredible cheeses like comté or halloumi!! Hopefully, this helps. Eat good, play good, be good.
Love this one

are never really gone
not really
they come back to us forever after
