If you have the means, please donate to the Trans Continental Pipeline right now. They are a Colorado based org that helps trans people relocate and they are overwhelmed with requests. Colorado borders Kansas, and TCP has the infrastructure to help get people out.

How dare
Not to be unkind, but I am so impatient about the βwhatβs the point of making my little zines/comics/crafts/art when the world is on fireβ sentiments. I get it, but saving the world is not a responsibility shouldered by your art! Thatβs what being a neighbor, a friend, and hell, a citizen is for!!!
#AddFilm please π
I spent the last few days watching The Pitt and I will never ever ever feel stressed out about my silly video game job ever again
This whole Christmas special is so sweet. I always get choked up when I see Jim Henson going to do the dishes at the end!
THIS IS JOYFUL, WOW
Knives Out
"instead of typing it out" .......they'll what? Beam it into the entry field via telepathic link?
FFS.
One upside of AI is that human art feels more valuable, whimsical, and transcendent than ever before.
I'm in awe watching the craft on display in old movies; I'm ultra-charmed by hand-drawn doodles.
Everything human feels more precious and personal, and every artist is a treasure.

Even if you "don't use the skin" or "will kill anyone using the skin on sight", playing the game is allowing kickback to JK Rowling in one way or another
Make this licensing deal wholly not worth it
I know it sucks to give up a game you like to play but if enough ppl do it,

Getting third hand anxiety at the thought of placeholder text that is not immediately clearly placeholder and also is not a direction for the intention for the final text.
A digital illustration in very comic book style. At the center is an 80s Punk/Mad Max/Tank Girl-type girl with bright red and yellow rough-cut hair, wearing a red cut up tee, lots of belts and a studded collar and bracelets etc, denim cutoffs over electric blue fishnets, and tall blue combat-type boots. In her hands she has a red chainsaw with a skull decoration on It that she's holding at the ready. Thereβs a bag slung over her shoulder with the handles of a baseball bat and a machete emerging from the top of it. She is reared back on one foot, having just delivered a tremendous kick to the head of a humanoid robot which is reeling backwards, face half smashed in and turned toward the viewer, arms stretched out, with flames and sparks shooting out of its neck. It's one of those retro-future streamline robot guys that you would maybe see Superman fight in a Fleischer cartoon. Behind on the left you can see from the waist up another such robot which has been dealt with similarly just before. Above and behind all this is jagged red lettering over a jagged yellow outline reading DESTROY next to dimensionalized sans-serif letters reading "A.I." (quotes included) over a π« symbol. Under the reeling robot are some important anti-AI talking points rendered in rough maker-style hand lettering: 'Bad at Everything! Kill the Planet! Brain Atrophy!' I could go on but there's only so much space in one drawing. All of this has been worked up digitally to look like it's a vintage screen printed t-shirt design with cracked and worn plastisol inks. In conclusion, fuck your AI.
Bears repeating
I want to say something encouraging or at least not despairing about the layoffs at Eidos during the holidays but, lord, we are in a SEA of it.
If there's anyone who's looking, we've got some open roles for DDV and our forthcoming Dungeons and Dragons project!

Me: wow, seems like Dickens was a little manic when he wrote A Christmas Carol
Wikipedia: he needed money and he wrote it in six weeks and he sorted out his story ideas by walking marathons around London also people mentioned he would laugh and cry as he wrote
Me: ah
A cover image of Dreamlight Valley Wishblossom Ranch. Snow White walks along a path through a flowery field with a snowy alpine village in the distance. She is accompanied by a goose, a player riding Maximus from Disney's Tangled, and Tinker Bell.
Our new DLC launches TODAY!
It's got horses! It's got magic! It's got BEES!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hahaha!
Only slightly less disruptive than my current urge to walk around belting "should I GOOOOOOO and perfooooorm... mutilations?"
A picture of Audrey II, the carnivorous plant from Little Shop of Horrors. Audrey is 3/4 turned towards the camera, more closed. OMINOUSLY.
I can't believe it took me this long to discover Little Shop of Horrors.
The puppetry of Audrey II looks so good it felt like I was losing my mind, and the Menken/Ashman music duo?!
PHEEEEEEEEEW, I'm obsessed.
Put the pope in the Criterion closet

Remember when Spider-Man 2 for PS5 came out and people realized the NPCs on the street all had dialogue with each other that you could eavesdrop on and then players in. A. SPIDER-MAN. Game. Took time out of swinging above the city just to follow people around on the street and listen to them? π€
As a biologist, It really is a great analogy. Also trees. It's like saying, "There are trees and grass, you have to be one or the other." Ok... where is the line that defines "is a tree?" what about bush-like grasses? Palm trees? NON-tree palms? What about horsetails and their tree-like ancestors?
