I got some art in my little c++ prototype, so thought I'd share! Really enjoying working on this little maze game so far. Not sure how far I'll go with this, but I'll share progress as I do.
I've been working on a little prototype in c++ lately and I think it's the most game dev fun I've had in years. I've never felt this connected to the project when working in a bigger game engine

I went to 4 different stores today to look for a maze book and came up short, which means it's either an untapped market or there's no audience. Anyway, here's a maze I drew!

The problem is not too many games. Not everyone needs to play every game. Not every game SHOULD need to make a huge sales splash. There is a problem with getting games to their audiences. It's a curation, literacy, storefront, scope, and legacy games culture problem.

Heritage Foundation has released an absolutely insane policy proposal to label all trans people as domestic terrorists. It uses completely made up instances of terrorism and made up statistics but facts don't matter to them.
They want us all eradicated.
My 2 cents: Silksong is a game about achieving something difficult in an unfair world. Its gameplay is often unfair and difficult to support the aesthetic and the story, and I think it's able to pull it off in a way few games do.
