Updates and Welcome Hokay, so… A few weeks ago, I was feeding my addiction to social media when I was supposed to be working on a play for middle schoolers. It was the project’s fault, you see! It was kick…

Remembering that great post where a gay playwright created a detailed queer history for Statler and Waldorf β€” not a gay couple, but two old queens who’d been in each other’s lives for decades. Such a gorgeous little vignette.

I had two books delivered to my work today, one without incident. The other was an empty, open envelope that was missing Austin Kleon’s STEAL LIKE AN ARTIST.

Not sure I can send a mass email to my co-workers complaining that my copy of STEAL LIKE AN ARTIST was stolen.

By YBCA
November 19, 2025
Featuring exhibitions by renowned artists and guest curators, alongside collaborations with the GLBT Historical Society and Queer Ancestors Project, the season celebrates fierce imagination and queer and trans artistry.
November 19, 2025 - San Francisco, CA: Yerba Buena Center for the Arts (YBCA) today announced its Spring 2026 exhibition season, a bold slate of exhibitions connected by ideas of identity, resilience, and liberation. Featuring solo exhibitions by internationally acclaimed artists Diedrick Brackens and P. Staff, and the group exhibition Conjuring Power: Roots & Futures of Queer & Trans Movements, the season reaffirms YBA's role as a leading Bay Area institution where art, activism, and creative expression converge.
"At a time when creative freedom is increasingly under attack, YBCA is committed to presenting work that embodies courage, conviction, and humanity," said Mari Robles, CEO of YBCA. "This season of exhibitions at YBCA uplifts bold voices that demand we pay attention to a multiplicity of liberating truths. Whether directly confrontational or tenderly defiant, these artists speak with beauty and power."

I would get some tees from the Castro β€” the GLBT Historical Society Museum has some that I love, and Welcome Castro has a selection to look through. Baseball hats are easy because you can swap them out

This is so great β€” the Roxie theater has had a few Carol Day screenings the last couple of years, so I love that it has gotten a little bigger. Too bad the Castro Theatre isn’t available yet.
