One last #MSWL: romcoms, heavy on the “com.” I’m especially on the lookout for books starring or written by people who have not often been depicted as the romantic lead.
Excited to see more submissions when my inbox reopens in April!

I also love horror that makes you think, or has surprising emotional depth, in addition to the spookiness. And I have yet to find a really delicious gothic horror. #MSWL
Some hyper-specific #MSWL items:
I love a retelling, and would especially love one of Peter Pan or Jane Eyre. But I also love something unexpected, like an overlooked side character, genre blending, or a new lens on a familiar story
For clarity, I only represent age categories MG and up. For MG & YA I’m open to all genres fiction and nonfiction. On the adult side I only work on genre-adjacent or genre-lite fiction (no straight contemporary or anything that wades too deeply into the genre space). #MSWL
Hi Bluesky, and happy #MSWL Day!
My up-to-date #MSWL can always be found on Instagram (www.instagram.com/p/DS2tRNrjmx...), but here are some specifics…
I'm not on here very often because life has been busy as of late, but needed to make this PSA again:
Writers, please do not cold email editors who have never talked to you or requested your work. A lot of us aren't open to unsolicited or unagented manuscripts. #publishing #amwriting #amquerying

A wild radiance + themes of resistance
A thread for no particular reason
Places my cat has gotten stuck today:
-tied to the leg of the bed
-between the couch and the storage basket
-under the TV console
-behind the big mirror
-tangled in a kitchen chair
-wedged between the fridge and counter

Hello 2026! As we get closer to the new year—and my query inbox reopening—it’s time for me to update what I’m looking for. I saw a lot of fabulous projects in 2025 (but more on that later), and I’m excited about what I might find in 2026. #mswl
Posting this before my inbox reopens in January. I’m planning to close my query inbox for February & March 2026–I know that it’s going to be a busy time for me, and it’s better that I take those months to try to catch up. So, after January, my inbox will reopen in April. #literaryagent #queryupdate

THE GLADE, middle grade horror, from Aladdin (S&S)
An anxious, autistic, aspec Iranian American tween discovers a clearing in her woodsy summer camp where dreams—and nightmares—come to life. Eligible for Andre Norton (Nebulas), IGNYTE, Stoker, Mythopoeic!
My goal is to finish July-Oct before the end of the month. I also plan to go through my maybe pile in December.
If you’re waiting on a full MS, I’m working to get back to you as well before the end of the year. Thank you all for your patience!
A long overdue #queryupdate: I am nearly caught up! Many thanks again to all the authors who have had to be patient while I read. At this point, if you’ve sent a query in Apr-June and haven’t heard back, you’re in my maybe pile.
Thanks to Ashley Aya Ferguson for coordinating our panel at Books by the Banks this weekend in Cincinnati. Loved meeting and sharing stories with Mary Kay Carson, @tanyakonerman.bsky.social and Kristy High. Great festival. ❤️

Loved my visits at the River School and the Landon School this week. We talked about the origins of characters and stories, and had some laughs. Thank you to everybody who participated, and to @politicsprose.bsky.social . It's always so much fun. 🥰 #schoolvisits #authorvisits #kidlit
