it's always nice to play a Gloomwood update ! I love the vertical level design

Devs who work on a CoD games these days to me are like programmers who work at Raytheon. If you'd care you'd allready be gone.
Seems believable but it's also an article, covering another article, covering rumors
and it MAKES SENSE. I'm pissed by GI everywhere when it doesn't matter ! Why make your game look WORSE, and be more expensive to render !!
I'd put my money on a mix of baked light and dynamic gi, not JUST gi for everything
the caustic texture on the ground was very cool
Cool

Come see me at GDC
A bit weird to announce "come see me at GDC" in the current US political climate. Sorry to rain on your networking parade, but nobody is stepping foot in the US for anything in that current political climate. Real Weimar in the 30s mood.
no the best way to make a game is never grayboxing or prototyping and just go for full polish for everything as the first step. Obviously.

oh tu sais c'est plus ou moins la meme langue
I hope RE9 will sell like crazy because it's the best RE since forever (if you don't count RE2 remake). Probably since code veronica ? or Rebirth ?
it's a simple formula, but I think knowing the place you need to go to but knowing also it's full of new monster is more stressfull.
best resident evil since forever. I'm glad they followed the success of re2 remake. RE is small map + backtracking and evolving threat, to me. Also very happy they used the "not really dead" zombies corpse from rebirth.
it was allegorithmic that made it but they got bought
this is a good lecture I remember enjoying www.youtube.com/watch?v=P6UK...
for this they basically make the light bounce a bit if it's coming from the BACK of the hair card, and they modulate this by a "thickness" value (here i'd say its close to 0 at the skull and 1 on the tips). + probably a tons of little teaks.
oh it's definitely internal only, and they probably have a lot of limitations, but this kind of hair scattering and GI should be taken care by the engine and relatively easy to control for the artist. I have no details on it but it's probably very constraints to their usecase (small levels)
Good engine
You're not following the right people !
absolutely pathetic & spineless regime and also entirely expected lmao
No, I'm doing a materialist analysis. Judging individuals for choices that will improve their material condition does not work, it will not make soldiers stop being soldiers or the system stop rewarding them. But I'm not saying they are not guilty.
(not saying that the person in your quote is not an absolute horrible warmonger of course)
You can't win with a morality argument, what you need is dismantling this shitty system that creates killers out of needy people.
But answering "soldiers are evil" to someone saying "soldiers are angels" is still about morality. Fact is in America the system will reward you for killing kids abroad, and punish you if you stop. It's very hard for people to go against improving their material conditions.

Canada condemns Iran's retaliatory attacks Justin Li Foreign Affairs Minister Anita Anand said in a statement that Canada "strongly condemns the attacks of the Iranian regime against our partners in the Middle East." Anand further urged Canadians in Iran to shelter in place and said Ottawa will "provide all possible support to Canadians throughout the region." Canada currently has no diplomatic relations with Iran, nor does it have an embassy there.
The United States and Israel have the right to bomb and murder whoever they please.
The countries they attack have no right to fight back.
This is the exact double standard on international law Mark Carney was praised for calling out at Davos, but which he continues to participate in.
