Love Streams (1984)

I plan on watching Love Streams by John Cassavetes tomorrow which is one of the last of his essential movies I’m meant to catch up on.

The writers of the show not having access to that material is essentially setting them up for failure because you’re going to have to write like Tolkien which is incredibly hard to do.

If you’re adapting Tolkien, make sure you have the rights like how the LOTR trilogy did, and lifted dialogue straight from the books. Rings of Power tried to write like Tolkien instead, and it showed.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​ Tolkien had a very distinct writing style that came from a very personal place.
