Thank you all with all my β€οΈ!
Less than 100. I'm happy π
The best news is that you've perfectly grasped the melancholic, psychological thriller atmosphere. That exact moment you realise the game doesn't want you to win... has been absolute gold. π
A massive thank you to the whole community. ππ»π«Άπ»
Back to the programming cave I go.

You've given me vital feedback, and I'm already fixing it:
π οΈ I'll add subtle "yellow paint" to guide players.
π The cards will shake and emit sound when trying to communicate.
ποΈ I'll inject glitches and unsettling effects from minute one so it's clear that something is wrong.

The biggest design flaw: the Klondike Solitaire "disguise" worked too well.
I've watched players get stuck in the demo in the #SteamNextFest trying to win at classic solitaire, never discovering the deckbuilding mechanics or the hidden sigils. The mystery completely passed them by.

#SteamNextFest is over. 1 week, litres of coffee, and 707 wishlists (675 net) for #Alonitaire. π
For such a personal indie project, having so many people choose not to ignore this Joker is a massive achievement. But I'm not here just to celebrate; I'm here to dissect my mistakes.

The Joker thinks we're alone on this app. Prove him wrong. π

Antonio, I hope that wherever you are, you're playing cards with me. You saved me, my friend. β οΈβ€οΈ

The game launches in March 2026, and the demo is live now. Itβs a journey from humor to psychological mystery, much like life itself. If youβve ever felt alone in front of a screen, this is for you.
Alonitaire (Alone + Solitaire) is my tribute to him. Itβs a confession that sometimes we hide behind screens because weβre afraid of the silence in an empty house. Itβs a way of saying that even when trapped in our digital prisons, thereβs always one card that can set us free. ποΈ
Every card you "awaken" is a fragment of our history. The face cards represent the people we loved and lost. Playing solitaire here isnβt just killing time; itβs facing truths youβd rather keep buried. π«οΈ
The antagonist, the Joker, is a reflection of our shadows. He inherited Antonioβs biting wit and his knack for "tricking" the player, just like he did with those astronauts. Heβs a hostile mentor who knows youβre there... and he wonβt let you win easily. π€‘
I decided I couldnβt let his story, our story, end on a forgotten disk. Thatβs how Alonitaire was born. It looks like a retro solitaire game, but itβs actually a digital sΓ©ance. A place where the act of playing is the act of remembering. π
In the middle of the wreckage, I found that old code we started together. Opening those files, reading his comments and notes... it was like sitting by the Albufera with him again. His lines of code were his voice, whispering from across time. π»
Ten years later, in 2025, the mirror showed me his reflection. I was diagnosed with a tumor, my wife divorced me, and the project Iβd poured four years of my life into collapsed. My anxiety was a silent scream. I was living out Antonioβs final year, step by step. πͺ
In 2015, Antonio died of a sudden heart attack. No warning. He was the same age I am now. He died alone, following a divorce and without children, burned out by a job he loved, but one that demanded his entire life in return. π
Our best ideas werenβt born in offices, but in the waterfront bars of Valenciaβs Albufera. Watching the sunset, weβd talk about how technology could cure loneliness. We didnβt realize that loneliness was already nipping at our heels. π
What they didnβt know was that miles away, Antonio was hidden behind a terminal, playing the "ghost in the machine." His finest space-age prank. π¨βπ
In the early 2010s, they sent a computer with this assistant to an isolated base where astronauts were training for life on Mars. When they turned it on, they thought theyβd encountered a sentient AI. It was witty, fast, and eerily human. π€
Antonio worked on the "Crew Assistant" for the European Space Agency. It was a masterpiece. I only played a small part: figuring out how to port that digital mind onto mobile devices. He was building the brain; I was trying to make it fit in a pocket. π±
I met Antonio Olmedo (OK Systems) years ago. We were two guys obsessed with Artificial Intelligence, dreaming of a Star Trek future where technology didnβt replace us, it accompanied us. We felt unstoppable. π
This is the true story of how I lost a dear friend, almost lost myself, and ended up building Alonitaire.
They say code has no soul, but Iβve found a ghost living between the lines.

Watching you play the Alonitaire demo this Next Fest is incredible. But before our March release, I need your brutal honesty.
I just opened a Demo page. Did you feel that subtle shift? Did something feel off?

I couldn't be more proud and thrilled to have her brilliant art as the visual heart of this project. π€ ππ§΅
Thatβs the gift LucΓa GonzΓ‘lez brought to Alonitaire. She achieved something incredibly difficult: giving these sprites a "soul" with her fresh, unique style. The cards don't mutate or corrupt; their magic is that they just watch you with this unsettling innocence from the very first draw. ππ§΅
Drawing a terrifying monster is easy. But designing a card that feels nostalgic and cosy, yet makes you feel profoundly uneasy in a subtle way... that takes a very special talent. π΄ππ§΅

The Joker is furious that 9 of you are touching his cards right now π
But as a solo dev, Iβm moved. Seeing you explore the code my late friend Antonio left behind is a milestone I won't forget. β€οΈ
