The NY Times dutifully reporting that the Supreme Court sided with Trump only 42% of the time and with Biden 54% of the time sort of leaves out the necessary context that Biden was doing normal, completely legal presidential stuff, and Trump was doing insane crimes

I don't know how to explain to people that elections have consequences beyond their specific pet issue, and that not caring about those consequences is actually pretty shitty.

I do not get people who see a man hiding his face, carrying a big gun, and backed by the government standing off against some regular person who is showing their face and carrying nothing but a smartphone, and think the former is the brave one.

Then during the Harris campaign I kept trying to explain to younger women in my life how revolutionary it was for a woman of color to not only be the nominee but for her to be openly championing abortion rights from the podium. They did not get it.
The night before the primary I went to both their websites. My hot button issues were (still are, among others) reproductive freedom and gay rights. You had to click through several layers to find that content on Obama’s site while Hillary had both front and center on her homepage.
Then you have to give them the tools to do so and stop demanding they undo nearly 60 years of deliberate fuckery in 2.
Democrats haven't had control of the courts since 1970.
Biden tried to help people. And people hated him for it because the courts controlled by Trump judges stopped him.
