Looking at today's Active Travel England (@ategov.bsky.social) updated funding allocations, here is the funding per person per year. I think it makes good sense to fund places that put money to best uses, I made this chart shows how that policy play out in practice. www.gov.uk/government/p...

"Everyone deserves safe, accessible transport.
That’s why we’re extending e-scooter trials to 2028 and expanding them to new towns to learn how best to regulate them.
We’re also looking at our mobility aid laws so disabled people can use the devices they need for independence." Accompanied with a photo, the alt text for which was "Hire escooters parked in a line in a designated parking area", image attribution Department for Transport.

Easy to miss, but important. At @wheelsforwellbeing.org.uk we've been working towards this moment for years - the DfT has publicly announced that it is looking at sorting out mobility aid laws. 🎉 Our #MyCycleMyMobilityAid campaign looks like it is paying off.

English councils urged to install pavement gullies for home charging of electric cars Scheme aims to stop cables trailing across pavements and encourage drivers to switch to electric vehicles

Here's why we will not be doing cross pavement charging in the City of Westminster

1️⃣ We would become responsible for the safety of EV cables without the ability to verify this safety, for one because we can't know how they're connected to a domestic supply.

WECA TCR, what happened to our £544m? The government recently announced the 2027-2032 Transport for City Region settlements with the West of England CA receiving £752m or £788 per head. Amazing right? Well… Under the City Region …

Yes we should celebrate the £752m settlement but I really really hope you are asking some deep questions of your officers and UA leaderships as to why it wasn't £1.3Billion.

It really is a bad settlement due to horrendous CRSTS delivery performance.

You’d be genuinely mad to buy an SUV unless you need it - just look at latest climate and safety figures The new Kodiaq is efficient, but the Superb estate is a much better option

Refreshing from a car journalist: basically “don’t buy this SUV cos it kills kids and the climate, go and buy the estate instead.”

This one that Wessex Water built links Swineford/Kelston with the B2B and Saltford. I'm so so excited for this one.

The point that @msrachelcooke.bsky.social and her fellow campaigners always chose to overlook when complaining that our traffic reduction policies lack legitimacy is that when our Dulwich scheme was put to the electorate in 2022 our majority doubled. Their campaign is profoundly undemocratic.

So after correcting the first article to clarify that the ebikers were the victims, they've now described a murder as an "e-bike crash" rather than a deliberate act of violence by the driver of a 4x4.
