I love history and will continue to contribute to the community in ways that my puny baccalaureate will allow.
I’ve come to the decision that , at this time, I will not be pursuing my MA. It costs too much and because student loan payments will no longer be income based, I can’t put my family’s wellbeing at risk by getting more loans for jobs that don’t pay well.

Libraries are great for the books, sure, but it's also nice to have a quiet and safe space to sit and think- a place where no one is trying to sell you anything.

It’s important to know that a lot of productive activity is happening in person and offline, too.

I have created 'The History Sit-Down' series on my website, where when I cross paths with historians I ask them for 15 minutes of their time for some quick thoughts.

I keep trying to write something eloquent and just being tired.
History matters. Philosophy matters. Languages and literature matter. Indigenous studies matter. Arts and humanities and social sciences matter. All of them.

I read and interpret “serious” publications for work. I read romance and other types of fiction for pure enjoyment. Guess which types I burn through the quickest and enjoy the most.
