New England is running out of time to generate a big defensive play that can tip the scales in their favor (though they have been VERY close). No weather complications like Denver. Soon, Seattle won't need to throw as much and be exposed to the blitz.
This is how Seattle wants to play. Strangle New England, force them into max protect. Two blitzes to end the last two drives.
First blitz of the day for Seattle on that last third down. Mike Macdonald rarely pressures but hits when he does. That was a six-man blitz with Witherspoon forcing the throwaway.
After a walk around the concourse, my estimation of jerseys goes as follows:
60% Seahawks
30% VPs and executives from State Farm
10% Patriots
Mike Vrabel is wild, man.
Incredible
?!?!
“If you’re not used to [having your face tingle], I can see staying away. But I kind of like it.”
Read @conororr.bsky.social on the drink that powers Mike Vrabel and explains the New England Patriots this season www.si.com/nfl/mike-vra...
Soft. This is basically how I’ve been moving through the media center all week, if anyone is wondering why I am the way I am.
I’m all in on C4, but Vrabel is a mad man.
Mike Vrabel is wild, man.
NFL coaches brag about their over-the-top coffee consumption. But of course, Mike Vrabel has taken it to another level with a face-tingling energy drink that keeps the Patriots on edge.
Literally.
"I tried it once," a coach says. "It made me feel very uncomfortable."

The rise of Seahawks DC Aden Durde is unlike any story in modern NFL coaching.
But it's *because* he was born and raised in the U.K. that he was able to master his craft, not in spite of it.
Our deep dive into his scheme, his past and what changes now: www.si.com/nfl/aden-dur...
Good story here from @conororr.bsky.social.
Hello to my new Olympics followers, I spend most of my year as an NFL editor and you should follow @themmqb.bsky.social to read a bunch of good stories about the Super Bowl.
I'm not a football fan, but I loved this @conororr.bsky.social piece showing another side of the late great Bobby Weir.
Thank you to some members of the media for weighing in on this important matter too:

An absolute must-read
From Bob's The Other One documentary!

Bob Weir of the Grateful Dead wasn't just a rock icon. He built the greatest flag football dynasty you've never heard of.
As the Super Bowl heads to San Fran, his Tamalpais Chiefs recall Weir: Part Belichick, part McVay and unafraid to have the opposing QB (kinda) kidnapped. si.com/nfl/bob-weir...
my man! Thought of you when I was writing this!
Just an awesome story from @conororr.bsky.social, especially if your interests place you at the center of a football/Grateful Dead Venn diagram: www.si.com/nfl/bob-weir...
Right???
This was my favorite story that I've ever worked on. The @grateful-dead.bsky.social have meant so much to me in my life. My love for their music continues to grow with age.
Combining that with finding out that Weir is a total ball knower who drew up legendary plays was an absolute joy. ⚡🌹💀⚡
