Zohran smiling on the street

Zohran's campaign was his determination to make New York a city everyone can afford to live in. Huge congratulations!

His success will resonate throughout the world. A story where no one is left behind.

It's time to write that story across England & Wales too.

I'm glad Sheffield council voted today to join calls on the government to properly fund women's health care, and to ask NHS South Yorkshire ICB to take urgent action to address the gynaecology waiting list βœ…

& to thank all the fab health care workers supporting women's health in Sheffield and SY πŸ™

So important women's health services receive proper funding - I was going to say in my speech that endometriosis affects 1 in 10 women, who are half the population, and can cause chronic pain, infertility, painful periods and heavy menstrual bleeding but takes on average ~9 years to diagnose! 🀯

2. the addition of a new paragraph (r) as follows, and the re-lettering of the original paragraphs (p) to (r) as new paragraphs (s) to (u):-

Unfortunately no time for speeches on Labour's motion β€œProtecting fair access to IVF treatment” at full council today, but I'm really glad it and our amend passed.

Shocking that gynaecology waiting list is the largest one per 100,000 in South Yorkshire NHS: it's nearly tripled in the last 5 years!

The major question thrown up by Labour's benefits plans The debate has sparked a wider dilemma about the broader purpose of welfare

Who does this Labour government represent?

They have a big majority with only 33.7% of the vote (and turnout was only 59.8%)

How many people who voted for them did so they could cut disability benefits?

Tax the rich, don't punish those in need of support

Free speech "is in retreat" in Britain, says JD Vance, who is part of a Government which is now targeting critical news organisations with politically-motivated investigations, while banning others from the White House for the crime of referring to the Gulf of Mexico by its actual name

What’s the point in refusing citizenship to refugees who have β€˜made a dangerous journey’?

What’s the point in publishing footage of people being deported?

I’m sorry to say that this is simply a continuation of the performative cruelty we saw from the Conservatives.

Labour's Reform copycat strategy plays into Farage's hands Migration is good for this country – and it’s time more politicians had the guts to say it.

Labour's disgusting deportation stunt this week wasn't just morally bankrupt, it was politically stupid. Politicians need to find the backbone to be honest about the real source of our problems: the wealthy elite draining money from our communities
