Conditions at the Dilley Family Detention Center are abhorrent: parents and children face neglect and cruelty. Over a decade of research and experience show that family detention is inherently inhumane. Taxpayer dollars should not be used to jail children and families.

This case is horrifying. The man had deferred action, was on a full path to a green card, is a college grad magna cum laude, and ICE arrested him randomly while looking for someone else:
“What do we do?” said one ICE officer, to which another replied “We’re going to take him with us anyway.”
Electing Trump the first time could have been seen as an aberration, a quirk of US politics that would not be repeated. But electing him a second time sent a clear signal to the rest of the world that it is imperative to reduce military and economic dependence on the US because it is unstable.
One large study found that when a major daily newspaper covering a federal judicial district disappears, corruption cases there—bribery, embezzlement, fraud—rise by more than 7%.
The researchers suggest officials feel emboldened when no one's looking.

Patrick Swindle is the CEO operating the Dilley concentration camp. There are people behind this. They must go to prison.
We obtained the Dilley detention center’s 911 call logs.
Among them are pleas for help for toddlers having trouble breathing, a pregnant woman who passed out and an elementary-school-aged girl having seizures.
NEW: Guards have taken away crayons, colored pencils & paper during recent room searches at Dilley, according to detainees and others. After one inspection, the children just “cried and cried and cried,” a mother said. The facility denies the claims.
