While in the Colonia area for the first waypoint of Distant Worlds 3, came across a very fast neutron star in Eol Prou RH-V d2-949. Fastest I've seen so far.

If it's overheating, you might be noticing other odd behaviours.
Without seeing it and trying a clean install of the drivers, I wouldn't be able to be much more help. A couple of thoughts: 1) it might be a sign that the GPU is on its last legs, or 2) the card has a temperature issue and either needs to be dusted or possibly repasted (depends on age and model).
Hopefully that fixed the problem.

As for the purple, you'd have to look at the makeup of that planet to see what would be making that colour.
This is Stellar Forge, the engine that generated the galaxy. The game is supposed to take the makeup of a body and convert that into surface colours. This is why many planets have similar colours. FDev programmed the engine based on current real science. elite-dangerous.fandom.com/wiki/Stellar...

Been to Colonia for an extended visit. SagA three times. Beagle Point with DW2. Hung out there for a while and also visited Oevasy SG-Y d0, otherwise known as Semotus Beacon & Salomé's Reach. Lots of LYs travelled.
The first long-distance trip I did was to Colonia with the Christmas Carriers Convoy in 2016. I stayed in the Colonia area for a while. On my way back, I stopped by SagA. That was all done in an AspX. After returning, I outfitted an Anconda for expeditions (not max jump range) and went on DW2.
She, Ether Twilight, was the ship I took on DW2. I've been out in the black for 6 years, and only recently got back into the bubble. A lot of LYs on her. The paint job is as worn as it can be.

I had been out in the black since DW2. I've been away for a lot. I purchased the Mandalay with Arx, really something to fly compared to the Anaconda, which I'd been piloting. I want to wait to see what other ships come before I spend Arx on them. Exploration is my primary interest. Anaconda Mk. II?
