I borrowed a friends Switch 2 to play pokopia on the strength of DQB2. It seems fun so far, but I don't enjoy some of the QoL features of DQB2 being nixed to fit the time gating, and I generally don't enjoy the pseudo-battle pass style dailies/time gating to keep you addicted over a long period.
One of my favorite things is that the fan translation (and thus now official one since they bought it) kept this tradition up through Azure and I believe the very final chest message is a heartfelt thanks to everyone who was involved in getting it localized. (or it may have been near the end lol)
Minishoot' Adventures is a great game and now that it's out on consoles and all that I am here to once again say that Minishoot' Adventures is a great game and you should play that.

It's one of the weirdest parts of the game. Given they kind of split Luke Skywalker into 3 parts (van - young adventurous hero, ashe - chosen one that focuses on a magic sword, and basch - secret familial tie to evil) it ends up feeling very weird in the plot lol.

The secret is that Bloodborne has been remade dozens of time per year since its release, just not under the name. A random pirate crafting/survival game I played in nextfest had the bloodborne combat system for some reason.
Picked up Demon Tides, very fun 3d platformer. Were eating good on 3d platformers this year so far. (Think it even has a bundle w/ Big Hops)
Im still very slowly working my way through trails, and whatever feelings i have about the whole series, its the only game that can have a mini romance story play out in the background between cat npcs for 3 games culminating in a cat wedding.

What is it about adding a "streamer" type character to a game that makes the writers of those characters go so over the top with it? I have a hard time thinking of one that doesn't just feel awkward/weird in a story.
I'm very slowly going through Horizon, but the impulse of the fan base (and often the creators having that same impulse), of "we need to constantly reference/bring back old things" is part of what made Daybreak 2 so frustrating.

Kyoto Xanadu seems neat. I get why they are continuing with the alt-history modern setting (im assuming sales/popularity), but after playing Xanadu Next last year I sort of wish that style of setting was explored as well lol
